Hey everyone! I see a few comments asking why I don't band from the roots down instead. I band starting at the ends because if I don't, my ends become knotted and matted. I personally use the banding method more for my ends and to prevent them from getting single strand knots. You are more than welcome to band the other way if you prefer or add another band closer to the roots. I also like the volume the fluffier roots give my hair. It bothers me when it's too flat. Hope this helps! Keep Bloomin' 🌼

I need to find a stylist that can help me. Im shedding so much, it’s always dry, and I’m so confused as to how to fix it. We have very similar hair (not in length) and racial background as well. I’m trying to embrace it and not hate it, but it’s hard. My sister has the wash n’go nice wavy thick hair, and mine is so difficult, as it’s always been. I’m 40yrs old and only started this journey in June of 2019. Joy-el I wish you could personally instruct me on what to do. 😭😭 Okay, pity party is over. Thank you for your channel, and I’m grateful that I have hair and I’m not bald. 💜💜

@@SharmaineJoyel ok I used to stretch my hair this way when I maintained my wash n go. I would leave the ends out so it would remain curly. Im on a new journey after 10yrs loose natural i now have sisterlocks. I do love your hair Joyel....I've been following you since the start of your journey

Marlerica...You've got to be careful about pulling your hair and stretching it from The Roots that's a good way to get Traction Alopecia. Starting from the bottom of your tresse is the best way to go. The roots of the hair where it comes out of your scalp is very sensitive to hair tugging. Just a tip from somebody who knows...
@marlerica3 ай бұрын
@kimmcfadden4679 of course, I have a very sensitive scalp. I definitely cannot deal with tension at all. MUST be loose
