We saw her live in the Roundhouse London. She was struggling with the ear plugs she had in and the sound. She kicked off her shoes, threw the ear plugs on the stage. Then went old school and gospel. One the best live performances I've ever seen. Rest in power sister Sharon.

I purchased the first Daptone 7" when it was released & watched Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings in Manchester (UK) in a tiny venue in front of about 50 people on the Dap Dippin tour back in 2002. My record collection is full of other Daptone releases too That doesn't mean I can't hear that the production (vocals apart) sounds very muddied. Here, have your tissue back - I don't need it thanks!!
