I just love the fact that even as a hardened gunslinger, she still gets rattled from killing someone and is shown to be both vulnerable and even hesitant. None of it made her any less of a badass, yet it went a long way in humanizing her. I can't even remember the last time I saw an antihero be disturbed by things like violence and death. Quite a refreshing change. Kudos to the writer.

Sometimes trauma can happen so fast, or in such a way, that the victim isn't 100% aware that they're hurt, or how severe. Definitely played for cinematic effect here, but not impossible.

It's not that bad. Of course, It doesn't keep it up to Sergio Leone's movies, nor many other westerns, but I don't think it is that bad. Most of the classic westerns are like this movie: over the top characters shooting each other , with silly plot that only looks forward to entertain you for a while.
