4. Notice you never see Crowe actually draw a gun. It's always him holding it after the fact. He was the same in 3:10 To Yuma. In no scene in this film can you actually see him draw a gun. He does a few gun spins but that's all And he's got the gun on the right side in all the scenes except the one where it's sticking in his belt and suddenly he's left handed. No wonder the critics panned this movie. The final scene is where the gun is on his left side sticking in his belt. Oh ,I see why now..His knuckles were broken on his right hand. Ok that explains the gunfight. But in the final scene ,he's shooting very good with the injured hand..

It's not pointless, he's cocking the gun one-handed, it's a loop lever, the same can be fitted to shotguns, see Arnold in T2 during the bike chase scene, he throws the shotgun in a loop to cock it.

Broken fingers have to be shattered pretty properly to be truly useless, although it HAD to hurt like crazy to do it. He also only broke 2 or 3 fingers, so it only makes tugging the trigger and drawing more of a hassle, but Cort is just as good as Herod is with either hand. The way he did it so easily, even adrenaline fueled, is a tad unbelievable, but a properly motivated person with only a couple broken fingers and not a whole hand has a much better shot, pun intended, lol. Ironically, targeting the pinky, ring, and middle fingers would have been much more devastating than the trigger finger and the middle one.

He warned his son multiple times. Son challenged his father in a game to the death but in western society killing your own father seen as one of the worst things you can do.

yeah this is the one and ONLY time I’ll even come close to defending herold, you can see how distraught he is about even having to go through with the duel. He warned the kid multiple times and really seemed like he tried to avoid it and wasn’t happy with the outcome.

Glad I didn't waste time watching this movie, watching the highlights on KZbin is torture enough. If I paid to watch it at the theatre, I would of walked out and asked for a refund. I've done it before.
