I mean besides the fact that he's playing pick now (which doesn't make a huge difference on a 51 style p bass) he probably knows Dusty's lines the best.

Elwood is a bad ass and usually I don't except a new member of a band that had lost a member I never except the member as the same and this I seen them live with Elwood and is 100% excepted by not only ne but I think most any body that knows his back ground and how bad asss he is

I am not a particular fan of this kind of rock. BUT! If someone gave me a ticket to see ZZ Top I would have no problem. I have always had a respect for them going back forty or more years. They have always had a quality I don't see in many of their contemporaries. And besides. They always look so damned cool!!

Nah he fits right in and in fact heavy's the tone I think Billy likes it

Theyre not "out of synch". He hits the beats quite well and if anyone is missing the beat then its Billy. But thats just how he plays. Its blues and not dance music (well for the most part). Elwood is pretty well locked in with the drummer. Dusty played way more relaxed obviously but he did this for a way longer time. And Elwood is in generaly just a pretty intense guy. Thats sort of his personality he wont be able to change that unless he actively tries to change his own behavior. Which I hope he doesnt because this is completly fine.
