You’re supposed to clean the blade to ensure no metal particles but prolly the most effective knife sharpener I’ve seen
@CurryCustomCutleryАй бұрын
It is always a good idea to clean your knife before and after sharpening. I was doing a demo. For those concerned I rinsed n wiped the blade then cut more off to avoid dust contamination.

Use a wood cutting board 😢
@CurryCustomCutleryАй бұрын
Didnt have one big enough so I disinfected the granite counter top then was mindful to not cut down into the surface.
@splechortheannoyingcatАй бұрын
bruh, why did you use your knife right away after sharpening? imagining those micro metal shavings on the meat is giving me OCD
@CurryCustomCutleryАй бұрын
It was a quick demo. You are ofcourse correct

@CurryCustomCutlery You know your stuff

Ya.. that is not a sharpener, but you are correct, it is a honing rod it but it smooths it out, not really a sharpener.
@splechortheannoyingcatАй бұрын
bruh honing steel IS a sharpening steel, you DO NOT smooth your knife with it, you sharpen your knife with it so that it cut more smoothly
@14TECSАй бұрын
So if my knife is completely dull. It will make it razor sharp?@@splechortheannoyingcat
@wardsone1Ай бұрын
Dude its ceramic you can see the steel from the knife being left on the ceramic, if it's completely dull in your terms is what I've used ceramicand dimond sharpening RODS for years and they do remove steel@@14TECS
@primarymeme9929Ай бұрын
For steel it’s a honing rod- cause the steel doesn’t really remove particles, especially on nicer harder knives like that. But for ceramic it is actual removing a small amount of material as well as honing- thus sharpening rod
@splechortheannoyingcatАй бұрын
@@14TECS of course einstein, why else would you buy the damn sharpener for? poke your butthole with it?
