I had the twin turbo (only a twin fin) and it was so hard to ride. My home break is a windy (10-25mph), fat, slopey, weak wave with hardly any wall. 2-5 ft faces/peaks. Didn’t have any get up and go speed. No drive outside the pocket. Felt like the board had a hand break when I went to the shoulder. Lost all speed when doing a cut back and trying to make it over a flat section. Is the new version that much better??

Wow !! Next level twin fin surfing ! Hey coach , amazing job , nailed it again! How would you compare the twin turbo to the rnf 96 ? And which board would grovel better ?
@surfnshowreviews7777
@surfnshowreviews7777 Жыл бұрын
More rail line on the TT do to it being longer with a performance outline. The 96 is a fishy hybrid board… they really don’t surf anything a like. For Groveling I personally prefer a board with a performance outline for tighter arcing turns in tight transitions. The TT Carrie’s more speed

Great review Noel! I have a 5'9 SE Storms and am looking to compliment it with a 5'7 groveler, either a SE Twin Turbo or a CI Rocket Wide or a CI Twin. How would you say the SE Twin Turbo compares in ease of getting on rail with the CI Rocket Wide and CI Twin? You didn't seem to have any problem with putting the TT on rail, but wondering if it felt like a focused effort to get it to engage the rail for a bottom turn compared to these other boards. Thanks for your advice.

Hey Noel thanks again for the recommendations for my buddy. I had one more question for my Schroff twin. I’ve ridden it twice now in small mushy waves here in NJ using the Rasta +1 but as a twin. Im not used to riding a twin but I noticed that it’s moving kinda slow and dragging a little . It might just be me but I was wondering what would you recommend for a straight twin set of fins that would feel faster and a little looser? They feel kinda sluggish and sticky if that makes sense. Should I use smaller twin fins? Kinda confused hoping you can help. Thank you Scott
@surfnshowreviews7777
@surfnshowreviews7777 Жыл бұрын
It really depends on how far back the fin boxes are. If the board is not sliding out with the Rasta Twins then it could be the flex of those fins flexing out when you push on them. I recommend stiffer construction for twin fin sets like fiberglass or Carbon. I highly recommend my Pivot Twins… they are made with G10 fiberglass

The v is super deep - also not crazy about that. Preferred the Go Fish, but i outgrew the volume I had. Tried to go custom but his 'company' is silly.

Hey Noel, my buddy is thinking about buying a funboard and I’m trying to talk him out of it. Is there a shortboard you could recommend that’s a great paddler but that will still perform? I can’t let him get a funboard and just give up. He’s in NC and he said the waves have been small and the only way to have fun is on a longboard, ugh!?! I was thinking the Seaside or something like that. Unfortunately price is an issue but still I can’t let him go down that dark road of funboards and longboards.
