This is a Star Wars inspired speeder vehicle made using a Sharpie marker lid as the base. All of the parts were found in spare parts drawers or purchased for $1.

I have a running list of things I feel like I'm right at the edge of starting, but then it comes time for another video. :) In fact, I've got a portable workbench I want to build... and I may have to just make a video ABOUT that, so that I *have* to get it done. The drawers of parts remind me of my collection of story ideas. If something doesn't work at the time, I toss it in a theoretical drawer and add it to another story idea later to improve it.

Nice to know there are so many others whose brains work like that! Im a miniaturist and dollhouse maker, so I'm always seeing the secondary purpose of things. I am usually on the "no, I dont actually have to throw this used up thing out" end of the product's life though. I've even dismantled old DVD players for parts. 🙈

Craftsman I love this project. I love making robots out of bits and pieces. If I see anything in a skip I think I could use I ask the owner if I can take it. Also if anything breaks I always take it apart get more bits for my robots. I just love taking lots of different bits and bobs and imagining that they look like a head or a body, arms or legs. I find it very therapeutic and it helps keep my anxiety issues under control. Thank you for another excellent video. I might have a go at making a robot out of old pen parts next.

@@TheCrafsMan Thankyou for replying. This is the thing about accent. It is nature's way of attracting foreigners to each other. It creates fascination and bonding. It is startling to think how inflection actually develops. I know it is related to geography always. Whether we live near the coast or not also has a bearing. In fact a multiplicity of variables exist in relation to this music. We don't realise as humans that speaking is actually unturned singing. Anyway I enjoyed your Speederbike video as well as the one about Midjourney. An application I had never heard of until you mentioned it. Thankyou!

What'd you do with that brand new Sharpie pen once you stole its lid? Hopefully, you were secretly also planning to have a giant yard sale and needed to make up some big ol signs to plaster over the neighborhood you're livin in! As a Sharpie hoarder, I had to come up with some sort of explanation to help me feel better about all this, you know? I know you did the right thing, Crafsman and that's why I love you!

I use so many Sharpies, and I rarely just throw one away (even after they're dried up), so that means I've got spare lids. :D For this big size, I only had one extra, but one is all that was needed. :D (I've got BUNCHES of the regular sized Sharpies all over the place... some write, some don't.)

it's really cool to see you guys make stuff out of random things that look cool. I used to collect stuff like that as a kid but after years of being told to "stop collecting trash" and being asked "do you really need that?" Loved it! I did a dollar tree ship build and I ended up having to edit the video into three parts because I didn't plan out the build. Now, I know to plan. Thanks Crafsman!

I recently found this channel by accident and now it’s a favorite . One reason that I like it so much is that when I was a kid back in the 60’s I loved to make things with spare parts from scale models. To this day I can’t help seeing how certain bits of whatever could be used to make something else. The other reason is your true nature that comes through. You are as sincere as you are talented. Also I was born in Nola and something about your speech patterns sound very familiar. Keep craftin!
