1 Down 1 Up - Marvel Legends Hallows' Eve & The Last Stand Spider-Man 2024 Retro Card Figure Review

Last Stand Spider-Man has been my most wanted Marvel Legend since I started collecting in 2020 with Retro Spider-Man. I've loved the design and premise since I read Happy Birthday (ASM 500) all those years ago. I joke he's the ACAB Spidey. I am disappointed the body is so limited. I feel like they could have done butterfly shoulders at least even if they wanted to preserve the sculpt of the jacket. Also IMO his arms are a bit thin for a Spider-Man. But I put the bearded Peter head from the old Captain Universe on it and it's now my "Old Man Parker" on my self. Edit: To clarify Last Stand's lore, the suit is from a vision Peter has of the future during the "Happy Birthday" story (ASM #500.) In it Peter sees an older version of himself, old enough his powers have started to wane. This caused him to kill a nonspecific villain while defending his family, as a result the NYPD has hunted him down. Standing before Aunt May's gravestone the older Peter recalls that he remembers this moment from when he was the younger Peter he then turns and fights a MASSIVE mob of NYPD officers until a lucky shot hits him in the heart and kills him. That's really the important part, future stories would expand on the lore in ways I don't care for like revealing it was a resurrected Kraven the older Peter had killed, and Spider-Verse would introduce a version of Ezekiel who also wears this costume and canonically is from the same universe as the original older Peter, wearing the suit to carry on his legacy or whatever.

5:05 An interesting thing about this Last Stand Spider-Man is that, like with Spider-Armor MK 1, it's technically a Gamerverse figure. The seams on the mask, two-tone gloves, and design of the chest spider logo are from the Insomniac Spider-Man games. I'm guessing it's cheaper for Hasbro to use game designs than comic designs.

But It would be cheaper if it was the comic desing, rigth? Because they comic desing have less details, like the gloves just being red in the comic instead of red and black, and the mask having less details, but the logo isnt original from insomniac, the logo is the same as the comic logo

@@hawaianmobster1579 They might have to pay the comic artist to use the comic design and there could be a deal in place where using the game design is cheaper. The logo is similar to the comic logo but not the same. There are minor differences that make it an original logo. 5:23 Like here, where its size and the length of the legs are different. There are other images of the logo drawn with the legs angled in. 5:32 And here, the logos are completely different.

I didn’t know the gloves were solid red I thought they were too toned because the only place I’ve seen the inside of the palms on that suit are from the insomniac version but this is super helpful because I’m doing this suit for Halloween and it’s way harder to get two toned gloves so thank you for the info

Wow... it's kinda crazy how they completely changed the bio for "last stand Spiderman". I wonder if it had anything to do with the Madame Web movie? ...because last stand Spidey isn't supposed to be Peter Parker, it's supposed to be Ezekiel Sims. So, Im kinda confused. He is peter, in a certain story about a man who makes or fixes superhero suits he talks with spider man and in the end spider man sits on top of a rooftop, he opens the paper to find the last stand suit on the paper. And when Peter goes to the future (not physically just kinda like a ghost) he sees himself with the last stand suit on, he dies by a bunch of robots.

Last Stand Spider-Man was my fav version to play in the PS4 Spider-Man game. I like it for some reason. But I can understand why it may not be a fav for others. I took it as Peter being older and having a more durable costume to offer more protection.

This Last stand looks like the suit from the ps4 game I wish Shartimus compared the ps4 spider-man figure and the velocity and spider-armor and any other ones from the ps4 game suit figures to see if they scale the same or not

I wasn’t familiar with Hallows Eve and didn’t know her Goblin Queen connection but coincidentally I picked them both up at GameStop because I thought they would look cool together on the shelf and of course they did. I was tempted to get the Last Stand figure but ended up putting it back on my shelf. With limited space it would go straight into a bin.

Hallow's Eve, huh? Don't know the character, bit I guess her creator must've been playing the ol' Sega Kid Chameleon game when he was a youngster... Colourful outfit though. As for the Spidey, he's okay - But I think he needs to be displayed with a Spider-cycle - That would look cool and fun!
