The thing about the dog poop in the garbage bin is in some areas (my area unfortunately) some trash men won’t pick up garbage that contains animal waste (not an actual rule but we’ve been skipped with a nasty note more then once because of other people’s pet waste). Due to this I wouldn’t feel comfortable putting the dog bag in someone else’s garbage can. The few times in recent years we’ve thrown out animal waste of any kind we triple bag it and make sure it is in a larger garbage bag covered up by garbage so they won’t see it. Our garbage men leave notes for things that are within the rules (as we have been told they are when we call about being skipped and the note) all the time. Then we have to go through a shit ton of phone calls and arguments to get it picked up on an off day so we can put out garbage the next week. We literally had them skip us once because of a fast food bag that had been stuffed in so wasn’t in a larger bag and so was ‘lose’ garbage. Needless to say I’m too careful about garbage now days to ever put anything of any kind in someone else’s bin.

I think it highly depends on the area btw. I’m a vet tech and our dumpster is shared with a hair salon and a restaurant. We are throwing out testicles, masses, diarrhea, blood lol, it all just goes in and the garbage men have never complained.

Ok my family has an vomit pot as well. Sometimes you can’t get up/have time to make it to the toilet to throw up. (I have chronic migraines and endometriosis that makes me so nauseous that sometimes you need an back up for those “oh shit” moments) But after it’s used we always disinfect it with bleach and then throughly clean it. We don’t use it to cook with. I can’t even imagine cooking with it; let alone TELL SOMEONE that that’s the pot my child threw up in two weeks prior. I don’t think it’s that weird but what is weird what he did. It feels like you just fed someone cat food and then telling them after you just fed them the cat food. Even though it’s “sterilized” and cleaned it still has the same vibes🥴 this guy has an strange sense of humor

Sanitized =\= sterilized. It would need to be autoclaved to be sterilized. Also I get chronic migraines too and I def have my go to receptacle. Sometimes I don’t want to hover over the toilet on the floor when my head is absolutely splitting from the inside out.
