Oh there are days, that I wish I could just go back to bed and start over, but I know it’s not an option. You just have to push through it! I sweat, when it’s hot, and I mean it just shoots off my head into my face and eyes and it’s frustrating when you are trying to get past a difficult time and your body is over reacting to it, I then react to it and I can get a bit snappy so I have to bite my tongue and just not say anything.

See I told you so, Correll can shatter. Seeing "Don't Fence Me In - RVing" in your videos makes me feel all tingly inside. HAHAHA Hey, great video guys. It must be a great video Logan slept all the way through and let me watch it uninterrupted. Another quick tip for ya from Uncle Mac. The next time you dry clothes and need to empty the lint tray in the dryer, collect a couple of bundles and put them in a plastic bag. If you ever break any glass inside your home, wipe the floor with a wad of lint. It picks up what your broom or vacuum misses. If you've ever broken glass in your kitchen, cleaned it up, and then walk on the floor barefoot you know inevitably you are getting a small sliver of glass in your foot. Dexter can get glass in his paws too. Wiping the floor with lint will prevent that from happening. Can't wait to see next week's video. Have an awesome week guys and stay safe! Big hugs from Peru!

So true. I remember the first trip I took in my class A RV without my husband. First thing was the steps wouldn't retract. Then the steps caught a gard rail on the freeway and now have to be replaced. Then 10 minutes down the road I lost all power had to get off freeway and coast to a safe place to call AAA for a jump or tow. When the guy got there he said it sounds like the alternator and the big truck wouldn't be available till after 10 pm. So my son and I boon docked for the night. In the morning I used my battery jumper to get going. Made it to our first destination to stay the night. The next morning headed out again to head back home 20 minutes down the road the inner left rear dollie blew so pulled out at a truck stop to call AAA again. They can't tow if a rear tire is messed up and the inner tire is NOT covered on my road side, but they pulled some strings and came through for me the next day. Then I was finally able to make it back home. The whole time my sister who is in another state was freaking out, but I remained calm and went with the flow. I think it was my late husband reminding me to take my time.

The 'why me' question came to mind with your last clip of insane windstorm at the Cracker Barrel. My wife and I were rv'ing on Cape Cod last year when Hurricane 'Henry' came through overnight with 50 mph winds and heavy rains. Our awning was up and secured, but the wind was blowing so hard it blew down the length of the awning tube and 'fluffed' it out and unrolled it at 4am. so that it was flapping and pounding on the top of our class A vents and ac. Climbed up during the storm and secured it (lots of straps) One small 3" tear, but saved. We look back at it and have a good laugh now! Imagine looking out to see your neighbor in his pj's on an rv roof in that! 🙂

So your Opening!! I CAN"T! TOOOO FUNNY!!!!! That was hysterical!! Especially since our old neighbor always jokes with us that bob needs to keep sending photos of himself so he knows I didn't knock him off yet because I'm always posting pics of him hanging off cliffs and stuff! LOL! Hey if you go to a truck stop and don't find potable water, ask inside or find a maintenance worker outside. We saw online this TA had it but we couldn't find it anywhere. It was on the side of the building by their back door. They were happy to show us if needed. And for sure we have all been there about the "it can only happen to us moment!!" We had a big screw up a couple weeks ago on something that we totally knew better and that feeling contented for a while! Finally shaking it! But such is life and we must move on. Thanks for your videos and advice!! Happy travels! Oh and I totally broke most all my dishes in our first camper! That same day, the fridge door popped open anda glass container fell off the dresser in the bedroom breaking into little pieces..... we have NEVER had a travel day like that before and hopefully never again, Knock on wood. We may or may not have forgotten, to turn off the water pump while driving and had to do some quick mopping when the swifter turned on the water in the shower. Broken stuff or a big mess of stuff because you forgot to lock the fridge doors while traveling is what RV life is really like! It just happens even when you do your best to cover all the bases. After several times of broken dishes and cups, we’ve gone to ole trusty strong paper dishes and the red solo cups lol. Now that’s the real RV life! It’s seems that we’ve had the same kind of luck with water at Truck stops, no water supply to the faucet either. Have decided to get the collapsible water container and always have a back up for the times when 10 gal of will get you to the next stop! I keep a couple on hand and fill them for travel days, tossing them in the bed of the Truck to use when needed. It’s a good thing to see you guys back to doing what you do best with your vlogs. Keep em rolling lol . Do have to ask tho, how long did Ney Ney keep you tied up under the bed. The duct tape had to leave its mark when you were finally released 😆. Have a safe trip out to California, enjoy the holiday with family! Take Care

I always carry water bottles with me..the two gallon or 2.5 gallon. Keep two filled. Seems like when it rains it pours or if it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all.

We love the travel mistakes! We’ve made quite a few ourselves. Our Corelle dishes, took a tumble on our 1st trip from picking up the RV in Iowa, didn’t make it 2 hrs. driving with the new rig! Heading to Colorado. Our travel tip to secure the dishes, was a $25. Cargo bar, from the counter to the ceiling, with a dish rag over the cabinet to keep it from scuffing the cabinet door, the other tip for the double door cabinets, is using the hole where the strap is on the back of a hat is for adjusting, hanging the hats over the top remaining door handles, works great unfortunately if you do not have handles with the bar style, that are past the mounting holes, like your RV doesn’t have, then a small bungee cords, or grip tights, for electrical cords or hoses, dog leads, work too. Open the ratchets slip through the handles, and wa-la your cabinet can’t open, further breaking more food containers and dishes. Its a bummer to open the door, and find broken stuff or everything on the floor, especially if you’re hangry and tired! It’s great seeing the hanks adventures, tips and tricks. Safe travels! Dennis & Debbie aka D&D! P.S. never never forget to latch the fridge, that’s no fun, especially if you have toys in your toy hauler, a small bungee on the fridge lock works well, keeps the doors from opening even a little bit. Peace!

Solly is perfect!! FYI we found out the hard way that all possible cabinet doors require large twisted rubber bands to keep closed and all drawers need to be slapped securely to guarantee they are in place and closet doors require poles or rods in the tracks to make sure they stay shut or you will go down the road with the doors and drawers opening and closing with items falling from the sky. Not funny! But part of final check before departure.

Sorry your dishes broke, as you mentioned we all do this and sometimes forget to do full move day prep especially if you moved things to a new place. Hopefully you did not get any of the glass under your slide and it scratch up your floor. Curious how your Cracker Barrel stop went. We have not stayed in one or a Walmart yet, but I Personally don’t like doing nightly stops I need a days rest or 2 days rest at each stop and explore the area. We went to the east coast and every stop along our path was 3-5 days long every 300 miles or so, the 3 days was really short and it got old quick after that trip. We have done the 7 day stay and it was a good pace but it takes along time to move across the country at that pace. Our trip in Jan we have it at 5 day stops to and from our final destination, so we are still working on a good medium, that we can relax and enjoy the trip and not get bored with the area at the same time. Move days are stressful enough but having issues can sometimes just push you over the edge, I have to learn that it will all be ok, and move past it. Happy trails #thankshanks
