Been following this ever since it went into Early Access. Just waiting to see if it shows up on GOG (the devs were trying to get it there), cuz it definitely looks right up my alley, similar to last year's Hellpoint. And the devs cited Legacy of Kain as an inspiration for their world-building, so I'm kinda sold on that alone, haha.

yeah, I hope, but after seeing it locking the camera to the enemy like Sekiro I'm not sure anymore even though I like Sekiro combat. i've try god fall combat was more fluid and if the boss like in the Sekiro ill tries the game. The Soul's game is good and I love the boss fight, it's just the camera locking things is turns me off.

This was honestly a very good review, I've barely gotten to play the game but ran into a lot of what you were talking about (except the crashing thankfully) my main problem is the control skim. There's only one for Xbox so there's a huge pain in mapping all buttons for ps4 it's rather stupid. At times I feel like this game is still in beta and needs a lot of work still. Ngl I want my money back

A few years ago, there was a game looking just like this one. And it was just as bad. Poor mans souls, bad for all the wrong reasons... Why can't developers just stop puking out souls like games? This isn't a formula that should be copied. We need more Dark Messiahs, more Severance Blade of Darkness'es, and not this! We already have dark souls at home...

Played it for 30ish minutes on pc. Combat has little to no weight with next to no feedback. Textures are muddy as mentioned, couple this with the lighting and I can barely tell objects apart. This kind of makes the platforming infuriating if the fixed camera hadn't already. Overall It just feels low effort despite the world design.

Yeah, this needs polish, but honestly it's way better than people give it credit for. Incredibly fun traversal, totally workable combat, gorgeous graphics, intriguing story.. yeah.. it's no Bloodborne, DS, or Nioh, but honestly, it's up there with Surge as one of the best imitators around that try to do something new still.

You give some items to NPC, you need to get all memory fragments, using Eibon, and give items to NPCs to unlock real ending, aka u boot system again, because u are relieving memories of race named Astyr and their downfall.

This game came out of early access way too quickly I think. When I initially say it when it first came onto steam it seemed cool, but like it needed polish. I get the feeling the devs saw one of Steams sales coming up and decided to go full release to capitalize on it.

@@kenmasters2231 to be honest, this game doesn't look like that great of a souls-like game. The weapons seem limited and the reviewer said that combat is generally clunky. It looks to me more like an open world platformer with Souls-like elements. I recommend Mortal Shell, if you haven't played it yet, as it has a smaller world with linear dungeons. Also, Elden Ring is apparently going to be a huge open world and I can all but guarantee that it won't have markers.
