My hats off to you mate because there is a feeling out there that if you want to be successful in bowhunting that you need this bow, or that bow sight, or these broadheads, and the list goes on. You've proved 'em wrong!

I wanted to build my first bow in the off season and was wondering what drae knife to get? How much should I spend? I used to cook for living so I know the importance of a good knife/tools. Buy once cry once, ya know? Awesome channel. We live in an amazing time and we can learn anything we want on KZbin. Thanks for the content. I'm sure it's hard work

So awesome! I was going to purchase a new bow, but instead started shooting my fathers old Wing recurve. Man I wish I started shooting this sooner, I’m doing great I think, especially since I haven’t shot a recurve since I was in elementary school, 55 now. My goal this year is to take a doe with his bow, if that comes through then after a buck it will be. Haven’t taken a buck in a few years with compound, just can’t bring myself to shoot, I’m talking good bucks too, maybe this bow will do the trick, especially when my standards will be much lower for #1 and will have some serious sentimental value. Anyway keep up the hunting content if possible along with your usual content. Much enjoyed. Thank you

A very inspirational video, well done!!!! At present the South Australian State Government are holding an inquiry on whether to ban Archery Hunting!!! Let's just hope that commonsense prevails!🤞
@thomascalton30673 жыл бұрын
What is their reasoning? Are there problems?
@paintballercali3 жыл бұрын
That's wild.
@dazzamac703 жыл бұрын
@@thomascalton3067 there has been a couple of incidences where idiots have been shooting protected wildlife as well as a domesticated pet (cat) with Field Tipped Arrows! The RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals) have been campaigning the government for some time to ban Archery Hunting as they see it as inhumane... Of course it is if using Field Tips instead of sharp Broadheads not to mention that shooting at protected species is illegal in the first instance!!!!🤦 My honest opinion is to give Law Enforcement more resources to prosecute these criminals instead of just creating a blanket ban for everyone!!!

@@dazzamac70does Australia have a feral cat problem though?
@dazzamac703 жыл бұрын
@@DoseOfReality308 yes, they estimate there's approx 20,000,000 feral cats in Australia at present. There's also feral dogs, goats, pigs, deer, rabbits, foxes, etc...

Besides my cell phone, I take three cameras on a hunt. A regular video camera to film animals at a distance with optical zoom, a Tactacam mounted to my weapon, and a Wide Angle Tactacam mounted to my hat for hunter perspective shots. I rarely use a stationary camera for the animals final approach and shot. Sometimes the hunter only has seconds to get the camera(s) on and make the shot, and a stationary camera can be frustrating to accomplish this. The hat and weapon mounted camera work great together. I can point my weapon where the animal is going to come thru my shooting lane to video the actual shot, and film the animal as it is making its final approach with my hat cam. Wherever my head turns the hat camera is looking. When I make the shot, it is as if the viewer of the video is making the shot. Weapon camera is set on 2.7k at 30 frames for low light and editing in zoom, and the hat cam is 1080p at 60 frames for less vibration and slow motion capability. Lighted nocks greatly enhance the view of the arrow flight and shot placement and can help you locate your arrow in the dark. Side tip: I wear the regular video camera on a lanyard around my neck so I can drop it quick and not have to stuff it in a pocket for example.

I know it's not exactly good for a bow string but dose it hurt to get your bow string wet while hunting?

If you cannot get behind a man building his own tools(not toys) to harvest an animal put on this planet for our use, and then properly using said animal for the purpose intended, all while remaining humble and thankful for all that he has been blessed to be able to do, then sadly, I feel like you are missing the point, and are indeed practicing your own vanity by scorning another. There is the door my friend.

Spending a couple of days to take a single doe for its meat is hardly the definition of vanity...
