@@drownmywilltofly probably cuz he doesnt want to be looked at like a God or somebody's savior. He writes music, he Hope's people like it, but once you learn a lot about the dude, you'll find he is very humble now. He doesnt want to be praised with something as big as saving someones life. Him chuckling was his way of saying "Really? How? I'm just a dude with a guitar" in a way lol

I lost my son Tristan Nathianial Miller 11/12/17 to suicide and it is unfathomable to describe the pain that follows. My son was an incredible human; super talented musician, as a drummer; guitarist, & songwriter. But most importantly; he was KIND and LOVING. He hid his pain from everyone....everyone. There were no warnings...none. I knew about this song before this happened to my son...it’s very powerful. Thank you For writing this Shaun. I; sir; understand your pain.

I'm sure that Shaun already knows this - but I just want to reaffirm that this song has saved lives. Not many people can save a life, let alone with art, and he's saved so many. Sharing his pain has lightened the burden of other's and I pray it has lightened his as well.

I struggled and to this day still struggle. A couple years ago I almost ended my life. A couple times actually. Each attempt was unsuccessful. Dealing with PTSD numbing my own reality. Losing everything I started to think about things. I wanted change I wanted my family back I stopped using drugs and I started believing in change. I knew If I continued numbed myself thing wouldn't improve. So I dug down Deep Asked God to help me. And so far he has. Im sober today. Still in trouble but im clean. Once im out of trouble I plan to take a vacation

One of the few bands that has aged with me since high school. And, in my college years, I bought the album that this track came from. I've known about his mental issues for a long time, but didn't know his brother jumped out of a window until their sessions at Guitar Center. I've also never seen him in a suit. I bought Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces in 2008, so, it's been 15 years, but my condolences.

I will second that comment about saving someone's life because this person and I'm going to call him out Sean Morgan is one of the most ingenious Lyricist I know of out there I so relate to a lot of this songs he writes or that Seether writes it is so so relative and when I listen to this particular song it just makes me think very very positively about that fact that I will rise above no matter what is bothering me or I feel I'll come up out of it because once you go down that rabbit hole it's hard to get out so whoever said that the music that he wrote or still writes saves lives yes it does and that song today still relates everything

@@Chris. 😒👎

God used him in the "world" to touch people with pain, suicide. He may not know that, hurt is hard, blurres your vision, blinds your vision, damp your ears. Still grace of God leads you to find something, only to realise that that sonething is God. He made him in His image. Although he doesent know, God called him to touch people. I walked the same path, mucician all the way. Keep fighting, dont listen to the world. Hear the voice of the sheappord
