I know there's a lot of negative thoughts about shaving short-haired dogs but I always love how they feel like stuffed animals afterward. You did a very excellent job and it was SO satisfying to watch. He looked like a little potato getting peeled ❣️🤣😂🤣❣️

How do you know they feel better ? No more protection from the sun and when they walk through thick stuff. Unless totally man-made, dogs have a or a good reason. If people can’t brush a smooth coat dog, well they can’t brush their own hair ! Pathetic

I agree that brushing a dog should just be part of a daily routine like brushing our own hair, especially a short haired dog. When I said they feel like a stuffed animal it was how they feel to my hands. Have no idea about their thoughts on the whole matter. 🤷‍♀️

I'm fked. It's summers here and I went to a groomer to shave all his fur thinking that it would actually help him with the heat. He doesn't look like he has a problem but I can't help read these comments saying it's terrible for the dog. What should I do? Should I not walk my pug in the sun anymore? Please help.

You do an amazing job!!!! I watch a lot of Groomers on here but you are soooooooo good! No Drama!!!!! You go over the doggie after the bath Better than anyone that I have watched! You are so kind!!!!!!!!! The only thing is I wish you would let us watch you bathe! The bar, and your arm get's in the way of us seeing at time, I'm assuming you must be extremely tall?

Ugh...I feel a little itchy after watching this. All those little pokey hairs everywhere! I was relieved when you said you just needed to blend the body with the head because I couldn’t imagine how you would be able to shave that wrinkly face! You did a great job on this roly poly little piglet 😁

So sad that some people don’t understand that certain breeds shed and that the coat protects the skin from sunburn and keeps them both warm and cool. But as a groomer we also have to do what the client wants.

The grooming charge varies a lot depending on your skill, the locality, the temperament of the dog, amount of matting, flea infestation, ....! An average groom charge can, only, be done by you for your locality and business plan.

True , coat may not grow back same , & the dog will get sunburn. There are many products to to get dead hair off, like grooming glove. Shaving often not answer to stop shedding, just will have shorter hairs. U can also vacuum the dog. If one doesn't want to deal w/ hair , get a hairless dog !

We owned a pug for almost 18 years and I don't think pugs need to be shaved, but I really need to cuddle a shaved pug at least once.

They probably think shaving is going to end shedding. You have to brush to help with shedding. People shed too. Its new hair growing in

All that loose hair from not brushing gets itchy. Then the hair falls out from scratch ing. Just brush it makes life better for everyone including the dog.

As a groomer, i have gotten requests to shave short haired dogs that shed. I always refuse the job and advise the owners to brush their dogs. If they want to take the dog elsewhere, then so be it. GREAT JOB though. 👍🏽
