Senator Sanders and "Friends of Bernie Sanders", I'm just writing to say THANK YOU! I received my hard copy of "It's okay to be ANGRY about Capitalism" in the mail this week! It would have been so much easier on you to send it as a pdf, but I prefer real books that I can bookmark, highlight, and share. I've just started it and am looking forward to diving deeper!

Bernie is such a wonderful communicator! I would definitely vote and volunteer for Bernie for President in November!! Biden can't last 4 years. I don't think he is fit right now, tbh. Put Bernie on the Ballot, Dems! 💖

I campaigned for Bernie last elections, he's one of the most consistent politicians today, but the dems screwed him that time (put him in a position where he was forced to drop and endorse biden instead), i fear they'll do the same again, but let's stay hopeful!!!
@Solidwolf021

@DDd-gm8uz you're probably a troll bot but I'll treat you like a reasonable human, i say "forced" because you have to understand that the DNC determines, through funding and exposure, who's candidacy is going to be most recognized, it's in Bernie's best interest to maintain a positive relationship with the DNC; meaning if they ask him to step down and endorse Biden, he'll likely agree to those terms, because it's in the best interest for democrats to not split the vote. Please provide a valid response, else be assumed as a troll bot account, if you have nothing of importance to add to this conversation, simply ignore and move on with your life.

In my humble opinion, you need a citizen movement across political orientation. Americans are sick and tired of the conditions now. Sen. Sanders is also including more humanity inside America in his opinions - that, I think, will automatic generate better conditions in the future.

Bernie always stands firm on his principals and supports the right people. I’ll never understand when people say ‘Bernie should train his predecessor and move on’ Dude he is constantly showing people the way, supporting progressives at all levels, and endorsing the right people. He doesn’t get to ‘choose’ the next Bernie sanders, and he continues to be the hardest working man on behalf of the working class in America.

I mean, that's basically what this podcast is. It's him interviewing and showcasing the very best people in the American left, politicians, journalists, and now union leaders. Unlike Biden, unlike Trump, he's building a true movement to outlive him. The matter of who specifically will carry the torch after he passes isn't that important. History is not driven by "great men", despite the popular conception. History is driven by the masses, and from the millions of people Bernie inspired, surely at least one will be worthy enough.

No one person can save the American worker. However, if I had to credit one person for my current wage being $18 / hour and not 16 or 17 (my job is entry-level and I'm sure more pleasant in every way than an assembly line auto worker), it would have to be Shawn. I work in transportation and I know my management pays attention to what auto workers have won.

To me this is what union programs should be -- 30 for 40! Also, unions should be demanding that companies should transition rapidly to EVs BECAUSE wages and retirement won't make much difference if we do not stop climate change. Union scientists should be saying that we have to stop emitting poisons and greenhouse gases. People want their health back. Unions should be fighting to get robots into the dirty and dangerous jobs and that any workers who get laid off are compensated at the same rate with the help of the government. Union s should be backing health care and housing for all! Fight for the things that FDR wanted for us 80 years ago. Unions should be fighting for cooperative ownership. The most important force transitioning to sustainable energy and transportation should be the unions! Not Elon and Tesla alone, but the unions AND Tesla! Acknowledge reality!

I am in the UAW. We just won raises and wording that made it sound like they wouldnt be able to force maintenance to work 7 days a week 12 hours a day. But now we are told that wording only applies to production workers. Even though it didnt say it didnt apply to us. Our Union pres just shrugged when we asked how does this not apply to us?

I'm Canadian, I've been in a union too: Teamsters. Who your local leaders and reps are really makes a difference. Some people know who they're there for and some really don't. We had a vote once on a new contract and after our votes were handed in, our rep stood there and said: "this is the best deal we could get you guys, anyone who voted against this should be fucking ashamed of yourselves." No one said anything back. That was my first Union voting experience. It was astonishing. After that a couple of us were questioning him off to the side and he rushed out saying he had a dentist appointment. Unions are institutions with flaws just like the rest, usually the flaws are irresponsible people in responsible positions who relly on those under them not paying full attention to how things should work.

💙💛🔱 #SlavaUkraini #Solidarnosc #UnionStrong 🗽 "History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. Americans, indeed, all free men, remember that in the final choice a soldier's pack is not so heavy a burden as a prisoner's chains. But we know that freedom cannot be served by the devices of the tyrant. As it is an ancient truth that freedom cannot be legislated into existence, so it is no less obvious that freedom cannot be censored into existence. And any who act as if freedoms defenses are to be found in suppression and suspicion and fear confess a doctrine that is alien to America. If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power. Mob rule can not be allowed to override the decisions of our courts. Should any political party attempt to abolish social security unemployment insurance and eliminate labor laws and farm programs you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group of course that believes you can do these things. Among them are a few other Texas oil millionaires and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid. This world of ours... must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be, instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect. Any time we deny any citizen the full exercise of his constitutional rights, we are weakening our own claim to them. Here in America we are descended in blood and in spirit from revolutionists and rebels - men and women who dare to dissent from accepted doctrine. As their heirs, may we never confuse honest dissent with disloyal subversion. The future of this republic is in the hands of the American voter. Some politician some years ago said that bad officials are elected by good voters who do not vote." Ike Eisenhower

Channel GodChristLord: Gentlemen, what I have experienced as working in America for over 30 years is that organized labor and union membership makes management respect the worker. Like one of my co-workers said is that weak or poor management ends employment. I currently reside in a transient state that is by root and nature right-to-work. One guess as to which region that is in?

The Democratic elites are complete fools that's for sure! They could have a 'golden ticket' with Bernie with a reformed party and government, a renewed passionate voter base! Should FDR or Lincoln have appeared the modern Democratic Party would have rejected them just the same as Bernie! Will they replace Biden with him? I think Biden is declining so badly it could happen. Bernie should put his hat in the ring with the Dems
