In this episode Shawn Ryan sits down with Don Bradley A.K.A. Head Shot Don, who is a former Green Beret and a former CIA Contractor who has over 20 combat deployments with the CIA alone. Don has a severe TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and his symptoms can hit unexpectedly so we go right into the meat of this one with absolutely 0 fluff. He is an operator who has seen more combat than most can imagine, but consistently displayed the up most self restraint while under attack and extreme duress which is extremely hard to do. 2.5 Year Update: Hello again! I hope this finds you well and enjoying your day. Pam & I realize you haven’t heard from us in a while and we wanted to reach out, after some of the awesome people like you who have been so supportive of us, asked for an update. Today marks 2.5 years since I was “Head shot” by a road raging ice cream salesman, in rural Monroe county Georgia. That incident set in motion an investigation by the local sheriff’s department, who immediately made ridiculous claims about my background, in what seems now like an overt attempt to destroy my credibility and cancel my voice. Then they doubled down, when newly sworn in sheriff ‘Billy Brad Freeman’ claimed his first 5 minutes of TV fame, where he presented false information to the public, potentially tainting the jury pool. As if that wasn’t enough to process with a bullet in my head, Then we find out the Monroe county sheriff department has had ongoing issues with; deputies recently being arrested, one of their investigations lead to the arrest of a woman for possession of cotton candy, an inmate dying during “an incident” while being booked into their jail, and most recently a young K9 losing it’s life due to being left in a hot patrol car. It’s all so unbelievable, it seems like a bad dream. Like a dream of running in place, because now the DA is delaying things for the second time! So we continue to wait... As we do, please know that we have not and will not stop pursuing justice. The trial will happen eventually, just not soon enough for any of us. In the meantime, Pam & I want to say thank you again for your patience, thank you again for your encouragement, and thank you again for the incredible support you’ve shown us through this ordeal. I Just watched this for the first time....Two and a half years?... TWO AND A HALF YEARS?! What happened to the 6th amendment with the right to a speedy trial? the fact that you and your family have had this legal situation hanging over your head for this long really tears at me, at this point it's a burden you and your family have become accustom to carrying that you won't notice what a weight it was until relieved of it. Unfortunatly i'm not from the US (Wish i was) but this is a criminal case im going to actively follow from The Netherlands. I'm pretty sure you will be acquitted from any charges made. Shawn, i'm a Florida attorney, if Don and his legal team need any help in his defense I would offer my services pro Bono (free). Its disgusting when those given power abuse those they are sworn to protect and disregard decency to their fellow man. It happens to people every single day. The good cops have officially been outweighed by the bad ones 10-1 It’s fuck the police. I know you like certain cops, and I do too, but I’ve dealt with enough fuckheads to come face to face with the issue. It’s EASY for innocent people to go down, specifically because police are lazy or want a conviction. The sheriffs departments are the last bastion of sovereignty. Thanks for watching and for your support! The latest info is that the case was dropped after 3 years and 4 months, (end of April 2022) when a new DA took over and had their (also new) investigator look into the facts. Not surprisingly, they pretty quickly concluded that "Don Bradley's an innocent man" and shut down the entire prosecution immediately afterwards. So thankfully, that part is behind us. As far as the sheriff's department goes, they've yet to charge the "Ice Cream Man" with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, road rage, etc. etc. etc. and the statute of limitations expires on their ability to do so on December 27th, 2022. So that's concerning. As mentioned in the video, the originating DA sat on everything until the statute of limitations expired on our ability to sue the sheriff's department and/or the county, for their misdeeds and overall corrupt handling of the case. So, with that option stolen from us, we decided to contact the F.B.I. and file a "color of law" complaint, in a final effort to have the sheriff and his investigators held accountable for their intentional mishandling of our case and the number of other misdeeds listed in the video. Finally, yes a civil suit has been filed against the shooter and the company he represents. since he was "on the clock" when he chose to road rage from behind the wheel of their car, thendrew his gun on an unarmed person while he was still working, and for making repeated terroristic threats, while holding another at gunpoint, ultimately shooting another with the intent to kill them while he was on the clock. So we're not finished by a long shot, but headed where we want this to go. Thanks again and Wish us luck!

Medically I have a TBI from brain cancer treatments/surgeries, and developed a form of epilepsy. The worst part I've found about brain/mental health issues, is that no one can tell what you're dealing with, and finding people that make you feel less alone since they know what you're going through, or living with is neigh impossible, and are afraid to ask. The SD did a piss poor job of investigating this incident. You have a criminal (the shooter) presumed to be the "good guy" and the truly good guy (Don) presumed (falsely and incorrectly) to be the "criminal." This SD needs to be investigated by the G.B.I. or a higher agency.

The thing that keeps me from rendering judgement in this case is that I haven't heard the complete story, at least not in this interview. I haven't heard whether or not the accused actually fired his weapon. I don't know how close to the shooter's vehicle he was standing. The interview is missing a large chunk of detail.

They are protecting themselves and the jurisdiction of civil and even possible criminal liability. They are the one's that give us all a bad name! The questions that needed to be answered became assumptions and the investigation went to sh___. Then the agency had to go into protective mode to cover themselves. They were to deep into the water and couldn't turn back. You see these same cases in Suicides. The person that so called committed suicide was on Anti depressants or other medications, or possibly have a history of depression etc... Years later, it's proved it wasn't suicide and there was an actual homicide that had occurred. That happens when a real investigation hasn't been conducted and officer's write reports based on assumptions. Those type of officer's are scary and have way to much power that they do not need to possess. Don't give up brother you will expose the truth. I just hate you are having to go through this after a lifetime of service. The truth will be exposed because their sloppiness will come out in court.

My wife Melissa (God rest her soul) had an inoperable brain tumor. Modern medicine was failing her (M.D. Anderson), so I went to Colorado (bc I live in TX) and got the strongest CBDs I could find, and it changed her life. It didn't take much or long to notice the effects either. Within a month she no longer needed her glasses... blah blah blah. Unfortunately we ran out during Covid and the rest is history. Bottom line, if you have brain issues/trauma, I highly recommend CBDs. The results I witnessed were nothing short of a miracle. God bless Don and his family. Prayers!!! I am a retired LEO after 28 years. I strived to return home everyday as a man my family could respect. I did my job to the fullest but always remembered how serious and potentially life altering it was (for the and their family) if I had to deprive someone their freedom through arrest. I am so sorry Don and his family were mistreated. It truly saddens me. Just today, I was shopping with my daughter when I noticed a gentleman with a Vietnam Veteran cap in the aisle. I thanked him, told him it was an honor to meet him and shook his hand. Not all cops are bad. Some of us love our country and respect our fellow citizens, especially veterans. Why hasn’t the FBI gotten involved in this case to investigate this sheriffs department. Department of Justice needs look into these guys. These are the types of civil servant cops that give the good cops a bad name. The reason for this is that I know there are hard core veterans who watch this podcast and are brainwashed into believing we need the type of policing we have in America today. A lot of people see these types of interactions with law enforcement as an "isolated incident" or a "few bad apples." An interesting thing about the few bad apples comment we always hear is the fact that they never finish the the quote. Those few bad apple spoil the whole bunch. Many of them are bad by not speaking up when the "bad" cop abuses American citizens. The biggest way I believe all cops are bad some level is the simple fact they will take your weapon if it is deemed illegal in and if itself. Or some BS law has stripped a person a their "right" to possess it away. This has got to stop or will go critical mass. In my heart I want cops to be my heros again. Right not that is impossible until there are EXTREMELY RADICAL changes to police training and how there are taught to think of citizens. We also need to put a stop to teaching police how to circumvent the 4th amendment (the right to not be searched) as well as other constitutionally protected rights. I could go on and on. UPDATE:27 DEC, 2020 - :TWO YEARS AGO TODAY" an Ice Cream Man Road Raged. The Monroe County Sheriffs department covered for him (more on this at trial). The Towaliga DA sat on the case for an entire year!! so the "Statute of Limitations" would expire on our ability to SUE THEM, (see Qualified Immunity) and THEN moved forward with charges even though ALL WITNESSES ID'd the Ice Cream man as both the instigator (more at trial) and the one responsible for turning the situation into a shooting (more at trial). Then covid came to town and GEORGIA CLOSED TRIAL COURT, which is exactly where things remain. Justice Delayed, is Justice Denied !!! Hope you had an beautiful Christmas and here's to a much improved 2021. Hope we finally get our MUCH DELAYED Trial! Thanks again to each of you for your continued support, they can't sit on this forever!
