This video, in my opinion, was one of the best you have ever done. The peacefulness of your life is something we should all strive for (even in the city). Back to basics. During the first part of the pandemic, my husband and I were in our home for 13 months, no restaurants, no shopping…. Just us two surviving. I enjoyed the peace.

Man, going back and watching all of your videos, you remind me of my old man and the good times we had in the outdoors. Wish he was still here to enjoy the scenery, fresh air and build stuff with me, but he passed at age 59 just a few years back. He was a master carpenter by trade and could not wait to retire to a remote property to hunt, fish, and build up a small homestead. In a previous video, I think you said something along the lines of treating everything you do like it's the last time you'll do it. Really resonates with me. Thanks for bringing us along on your journey.

Breaks my heart to know what you put into the other place and you had to walk away. Sometimes, that's the best course of action but a lot of people don't even consider it. On the plus side, you can implement the knowledge gained and the "I wish I had ..." from developing that property into this one. Love the videos. Makes me think about when I was younger and grew up tromping and riding the woods. Our only contact when away from the house was a car horn. No phones, no radios, no tvs, even no electricity until around 1987-88. It's amazing what you can do with propane lights/fridge/oven and a wood stove. Would return to that in a heartbeat if I had the opportunity. No thought required.

You're making crazy progress on your cabin! Nice work. Can't wait to see it all done and ready to shelter the storms.
@williambryant59462 жыл бұрын
I though he was going slow not making that much progress. Winter slows stuff down but I've been thinking he's moving slower than that. IDK. We all look at things from a different perspective and draw different conclusions sometimes but that doesn't mean one of us is wrong or one of us is right, it's just how we see things as individuals. 👍
@weirdmatter2 жыл бұрын
@@williambryant5946 He is one man. I, challenge you to build a cabin, with the same dimensions, also using primitive equipment in the same amount of time. You have to understand that he has built a green house, and a workshop in what I would consider a short amount of time for one man. I, am impressed really! At how much he has accomplished in the last year, make sure you video everything your doing also, editing is long work.
@williambryant59462 жыл бұрын
@@weirdmatter Why did you get angry? Theres no need to get angry. He built the workshop before he moved out of the other property and he had help on the greenhouse that didn't take very long to build. I think it was like two weeks of not everyday working on it. So he's had plenty of time to be working on the cabin. He's also not here for multiple weeks at the time. He still goes and stays at home with his family. I'd say he spends as much time not here as here. If I was to build a cabin with primitive tools, video it, edit the videos and post them I'd have been done with this cabin and living inside and had it furnished on the inside in a years time. I'd be able to stay there and work on it all the time and not have to travel back and fourth to a home in the city. I'd live there 24/7/365 which he hasn't done. Like I said I'd have it done and be building the outdoor kitchen already. It's not a big deal though because he does this on his time and I'd do it on mine which I could focus all my efforts on this project and nothing else which he doesn't do. He goes home, he goes on vacations like going to Alaska for however long he was gone. So yeah I could have done this and been done already. Pay attention to the videos and how much time he has actually spent there working on the cabin. I'm not trying to piss you off anymore than you already are. I wasn't trying to say you was wrong in my first comment which you aren't. He has done a great job. I'm definitely not saying I could do better but in a year I'd have the cabin done and be working on the outdoor kitchen if not done with it by now too. Get over it dude.
