0:40 as a psychology student the basic definition of psychoanalysis i was taught was that it was a branch of psychology founded by sigmund freud (bitch) where he said that psychoanalysis is kind of a system to understand and cure psychological disorders and freudian psychoanalysis viewed human beings as being motivated by an unconscious desire of seeking and gratifying pleasure or some shit like that
@AnotherEmi Жыл бұрын
My personal understanding of Freud's psychoanalysis is that it all comes down to sexual frustration. However, I'm ace and I would love to hear what Freud would have said about that.

💜💜💜Infinite jest is not what you think, really! It’s a page turner and a fascinating study of masculinity, addiction and depression that is VERY FUNNY and exciting to read. Like, babe, I was the same. But I gave it a go and fell in love. And this book doesn’t let you go, you want to go back because you feel for so many characters. BuT One criticism I had after reading is how MALE this book is.. I mean all the main characters are white and male and the few women are rather one dimensional. But being a young woman myself I found this perspective surprisingly insightful because it was done in such a masterful way.
