Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZbin, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZbin. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZbin, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Ooga Ooga Ooga Chaka! is an earworm that never bothers me. BJ Thomas, who recorded the original, is best known for "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head," which you reacted to a while back.

If you're curious, the Blue Swede singer is Björn Skifs, there are a few songs in english on KZbin When the night comes, Michelangelo and he also sang the "The arbiter" in the 1984 recorded version of the musical Chess. Most of his stuff is in swedish though.

BJ Thomas also had a hit with I Just Can't Help Believing, a love song that subtly acknowledged the change in roles in the wake of The Sexual Revolution. It's up there with Sweet Surrender by Bread. You know David Gates had the right words.

I was twelve when this came out and I loved it! It always got my attention when it came on the radio. I thought the ooga chaka was fun. BTW, I also thought it was Blue Suede, which didn’t seem strange to me because Elvis had a song called “Blue Suede Shoes”.

The Swedish pop rock band Blue Swede's 1973 cover of "Hooked on a Feeling" by Mark James includes an "ooga chaka" introduction from Jonathan King's 1971 version of the song. King was inspired by Johnny Preston's 1959 hit "Running Bear" for the chant, which features an "oomba ooga" chant by J.P. Richardson and George Jones. However, some dispute whether the "oomba oogas" in "Running Bear" were the actual model for Blue Swede's hit.The song was repopularized in 2014 when it was featured in the Marvel Studios film Guardians of the Galaxy and released on the soundtrack.

Hey Shawn!! I Agree that some people Can't Admit that a song by an artist, that isn't one they want to Say that they Like, can still make them Groove or get a Good "Feeling" from! It's all Peer-Pressure stuff! (Some Tough Guys still get a Groovy Vibe from the Bee Gees!)

I remember this song first sung by B.J. Thomas in 1969. In 1971 Jonathan King recorded his own version of this song & added the famous chant (ooga-chakas). Blue Swede copied that in 1974 & this song is considered their only big hit.
