My husband and I were together for 37 years and married for 31 before he passed away in August of 2022. But back on our 10th wedding anniversary I wanted to do something special. I had been devoting a lot of time, which was absolutely necessary, to my final year of law school. Basically, he'd been acting as a single dad. We had a 3 year old daughter. So I planned a special night which was going to end with a sexy dance to this song. It played out much differently in my head than it did in reality. I ended up in the emergency room with a broken foot after I tried to do a sexy twirl, lost my balance and slammed my foot against this iron contraption that housed our fireplace tools. We laughed about that for years! I realized while watching this that instead of tears, I'm actually smiling. Thank you for that!

I had the pleasure to see Joe Cocker at First Avenue in Minneapolis years ago. I had my drink on the side of the stage that’s how close I was. One of the best concerts I’ve been to. He was a powerhouse of talent that, in my opinion, cannot be matched.

JC is a straight-up, badass legend. He's got more soul in his left pinky toe than most performers have in their entire body. One extra cool thing is that he's from the same hometown, Sheffield, England, as my daughter's fiancé!

Joe Cocker’s “Unchain My Heart” is a song that captures the pain and triumph of love. Also "Cry Me A River" and his version of "The Letter and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". Joe was a born to sing.

One of my favorite performances of Joe's! I bet I left the suggestion. I used to pretty often but nobody did it. They don't know what they were missing! Fabulous reaction!! It was based on the movie 9 1/2 Weeks.... Randy Newman did "Short People" also

I wonder, there were only a few shots of him but did you happen to note who the lead guitarist was on this one? None other than Mr. Stevie Ray Vaughn! Yep! Joe Cocker was one of the greatest singers to ever come our way. I hope you explore more of his music, he was truly astounding.

Some coincidence : I was scrolling through some of Joe's back catalogue this afternoon and came across this Dortmund concert and looked at some of the songs, including this one, and thought to myself "I wonder what Shawn would make of this one", and here you are! Probably something like that will never happen again, but nice when it does.

This song was used in the movie The Full Monty closing scene. Five British men out of work decided to put on an all male strip tease performance to make money. Tickets at a large bar, standing room only, with a stage were sold out. As you can tell by this song, it's perfect for stripping. The entire movie is great. They did leave just their hats on. 😁😁 Saw Joe in concert in the late 90s. He was fantastic. THank you.
