Brian, you did an excellent job against Eddie, congratulations!! keep going!!! One piece of advice, try at the beginning of the game not to look at the referee so much and concentrate on the grip to be able to check that the opponent does not take advantage of the grip at the beginning, that is very important.
@ajedrez9142 күн бұрын

Dealing with the pressure of Eddie's crazy trash talk and gaslighting the refs must have been difficult haha, but you did it. I'd like to see you get a proper coach now for a few weeks of dedicated training. Neil was an amazing coach for Eddie for 6 weeks and made this match close. You haven't really had a proper coach in comparison. 3 days with Devon who really isn't good at teaching new armwrestlers, he even admits it. 23:49 “When that knuckle is up, he can’t match you, he doesn’t have the anatomy to do it.” That was a great statement and I’m sure hearing that mentally gave Brian even more confidence because it’s true. Brian’s levers for arm wrestling being the length of his arms from his elbow to his wrist and then having larger hands is huge in arm wrestling. “Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world” - Archimedes
@tommyromero72962 күн бұрын
With that quote, and considering that it's easier to apply torque on longer levers, it's basically more the enemy's advantage, since they're gonna be the ones pushing or rather pulling on that long lever of Brian's. (A shorter forearm for example is just gonna be rowing that longer forearm backwards, while that longer forearm is gonna have to curl instead. Or like maybe a wrench, the longer wrench is gonna be easier to rotate than the shorter one) Brian's main advantage is the big hands that come with it, but that advantage was out when they got into the straps, which is why Eddie won that round.
@James_Edward59Күн бұрын
@ Not true, because he will always have the high ground and his knuckles and wrists will always have the higher advantage which is everything for top rolling.
@tommyromero7296Күн бұрын
@@James_Edward59 yeah that's what I'm saying. It's mostly his hands and then add in the wrists, sure, that's his advantage. Then that advantage was mostly gone when they went to the straps, since Eddie doesn't have to use his grip anymore, and he was able to take advantage of Brian's longer forearm. Similar to let's say deadlifting the 500kg with or without straps. In the latter, his grip will be the bottleneck.

First time I’ve really followed arm wrestling besides clips, but I can say this is far more entertaining than that powerslap bullshit. Dana needs to see this, it has great potential.

Amazing Brian, I am a big fan of yours since your beginnings in the strongman man competition and your determination has no limits, I know you can go very far in that new sport of arm wrestling.

To think, in the 80s, arm wrestling was just one WSM event. Now it’s a whole PPV special. Wild. Soon, we’re gonna be paying to watch people do squats. 😂

Soon? You've had to pay a ppv fee for every shaw classic to date

Brian Shaw might be one of my new favorite people. Brian pulling only serves to bring AW to a whole new fanbase! Exciting times

You couldn’t ask for a better friend than Eddie. He did this for you. Fantastic. But what a Show it became. Wow. But once again, great of Eddie. This is a strength competition in he knew he would lose.
@James_Edward592 күн бұрын
What do you mean he did it for him? 😂 He didn’t do it just to help Brian, that’s doesn’t even make sense. He even said he will continue to train for Arm Wrestling so in what way was it for Brian?
