Salafi's seem to call other's sects, I just wonder maybe they need to look in the mirror and see the fualt in their logic.

Yea, I personally avoid using the term salafi so as to not be associated with the modern day salafi movement which many just follow a few Saudi scholars and are usually literalist. I just say I have an athari madhab as the Qur'an and Sunnah is where knowledge is found but context must also be applied to hadith to fully understand them. If you open up a hadith book and start reading it like a story book then you will definitely get confused a few times and misunderstand things, because you are missing context

@@SSSS-xj7qg not saying this about yourself, but in general, salafis have a strong disliking for Sufis. Shiek Abdul Hakim is a Sufi.

I won’t wait until the end. You don’t disappoint. After the unusually lengthy introduction (he needs no introduction of course) you give him plenty of breathing space. Well done, The Murray book is “The Strange Death of Europe” BTW. Your observation of him is astute. It’s interesting how we agree with the right on values, but they see us a threat, whereas we disagree with the left on values but they don’t currently see us as a threat, so long as we don’t oppose each other openly on ideology. Well done on exploring difficult subjects with important people. It’s great to watch.

Formerly known as T J Winters, Professor Abdul Hakim Murad is not just an ordinary revert, he is a sea of knowledge and deeply rooted in our scholastic tradition. Both He and Hamza Yusuf Hanson (May Allah be pleased with them both) played a huge part for 2 decades as we grew up in the West and mainstream scholarship was rare. Now we have so many students of knowledge who made our tradition more accessible and Abdul Hakim Murad's clip on Rida (contentment) was awe-inspiring
