TRANSCRIPT (Partial)
------------
Shaykh Qays: Mysore sandalwood which is a beautiful, sublime substance and yeah, when it comes to the prayer and when it comes to dhikr, remembrance of Rabbina SubhanAllah wa Ta'la, there's something to be said about scent. The Prophet [Muhammad], may prayers and peace be upon him, was always scented. When he walked past, there was silage, right…
Ensar: He had his own scent.
Shaykh Qays: Yes, absolutely, but he always took care to be scented. It was a discernable part similar to the miswak-the emphasis he put on using the tooth stick to keep his mouth clean.
Ensar: You know, you brought up a very good point which is actually very significant to me personally in my life because I'm very sensitive to like synthetic smells. So what you mentioned is like the Prophet is the ultimate example of what we're supposed to be like. So I'd be sitting in the mosque and someone would come with these roll-ons. It's like stick your hand out like you're about to get an injection or something.
(Laughter)
Shaykh Qays: Here it comes!
