TRANSCRIPT (Partial)

Shaykh Qays: Mysore sandalwood which is a beautiful, sublime substance and yeah, when it comes to the prayer and when it comes to dhikr, remembrance of Rabbina SubhanAllah wa Ta'la, there's something to be said about scent. The Prophet [Muhammad], may prayers and peace be upon him, was always scented. When he walked past, there was silage, right…
Ensar: He had his own scent.
Shaykh Qays: Yes, absolutely, but he always took care to be scented. It was a discernable part similar to the miswak-the emphasis he put on using the tooth stick to keep his mouth clean.
Ensar: You know, you brought up a very good point which is actually very significant to me personally in my life because I'm very sensitive to like synthetic smells. So what you mentioned is like the Prophet is the ultimate example of what we're supposed to be like. So I'd be sitting in the mosque and someone would come with these roll-ons. It's like stick your hand out like you're about to get an injection or something.
(Laughter)
Shaykh Qays: Here it comes!

I'm so glad Ensar oud was one of the very first brands I discovered upon my interest in the scent world. Please keep making these educative videos. After trying around 10 ouds, my 2 standouts are oud royal 2004 and oud extraordinaire, but I cant say I dislike even one of those 10 oils. Thinking of taking the big leap of getting that private blend.

FINALLY!!! Someone who feels the exact same way I feel about those crappy "fragrances" from France that are flooding the markets as "oils" and such! I can't stand that trash, and I've been trying to explain that to a lot of people, who are duped by these fake (yet very cheap) fragrances. Thank you very much, brother!

While synthetic oils hurt my nose aswell I know for a fact refusing something from someone in islam is offensive. We are taught to do things in a way that is not offensive so if you going to refuse then find a way to do it that is not offensive. Alghamdulilah Allah has given us عقل in this case wisdom or intellect and this is displayed by our beloved prophet SAWS when he SAWS was faced with an experience where he SAWS could have easily offended someone he SAWS found the best non-offensive way of doing something. It's a lesson, while perfume oils and fragrances are sacred to you Ensar and me and many people, nothing is more sacred than a person's dignity concerning this worldly life, that offended person could be a freind of Allah. And this is for myself too. And I am still your biggest fan, I just like saying what's on my mind no matter who it is.

Oh believe me I tried to be as unoffensive as possible and explained to him this was my line of work and am highly sensitized to scents. I even promised to give him some of my own oils for him to wear. You are right in any case. It would have probably been superior to accept the swipe and then pay a visit to the nearest shower...... 😊

Yes some of those synthetics are so toxic! I can not stand being near them. Crazy they are worried about people using too much jasmine but petrochemicals they are marketing as safe and environmental. Ridiculous. Great video

Dear Ensar. I have a question. If the agarwood trees are grown in a farm in complete natural enviornment and there is no human intervention except for planting the tree. Would you call it cultivated or wild. Plz advice. Thnx.
