Kinda funny that he's got a problem with the Wizard doing this to Billy because he's a kid, but his Best Bat Friend Forever collects orphans like Pokemon Cards and he doesn't Bat an eye. Guys you all make great points on How To Train Your Robin but Superman's issue in this Comic specifically is that a child shouldn't be doing this period, not that he's untrained or unsupervised. Hell he even says so on Panel. In other instalments it's different but in this one specifically, this Superman has a problem with Child Heroes being a thing, not just irresponsible Child Heroes being a thing. It's just how they wrote him for this issue. But usually he'd agree with y'all points, and challenge Bats to a Pokemon Battle with Kara, Conner, and Jon. Maybe they'll use the move "Dead Parents" I hear it's Super Effective against Gotham types.
@Faster_than_light_yo14 күн бұрын
Robins are properly trained and Bruce ain't reckless he doesn't even send them on missions til they are ready both mentally and physically, more of all they are not bound by responsibility like Billy Batson. Now if you say Jason's death here then that will explain you never read any comics because Jason Todd's death was voted by the fans themselves there were 2 options either Batman saves him or he dies at the hands of Joker, the fans chose DEATH

Because Bruce actually looks after the kids he takes in. He makes them his legal wards, lets them stay in his house, allows them to attend school and he's around to guide them. Alfred is also there to act as support. The Wizard bestowed Billy with his powers and then left him to his own devices. A child shouldn't be given that much power without some form of training or guidance, especially when said child is an orphan who's living on the streets to survive. Billy was also acting as a hero by himself until the rest of Marvel Family got their powers later on.
@allforone342713 күн бұрын
@@ridley7498 I feel like that's changing the problem from "He's just a kid" to "He's untrained" like Superman's problem isn't that he's inexperienced, his problem with it is that he's like 10 and shouldn't be doing this period. Even if the wizard gave Billy all the training in the world I don't think he'd Magically be fine with it if this happened again. His whole point is that this shouldn't be his problem, not that he's not ready for it.

Yeah but its still crazy. Because its not even just powers, his empowerment literally changes him mentally and emotionally by granting him wisdom that his kid brain struggles to process at times. It must be like constantly having an adult whispering in your ear telling you what is and is not a good idea. And despite HAVING that wisdom, he is still a freaking KID. With all sorts of emotional and mental issues that being a foster kid at that age can bring. So no, he doesnt always listen to that voice. And it probably means he feels 10x worse when he screws up because he had the right answer being in his head the whole time and chose something else because his teenage mind couldnt rationalize the right choice in the heat of the moment. I can kinda relate. I have adhd and when I was a kid, i was on meds to help control it. While on the meds i could feel myself losing control when something was going wrong and I was about to snap. I had that voice telling me to chill out and take a breath or do something different and at times it was SO HARD to listen and I often felt like garbage afterwards when i didnt and got into way more trouble than I would have if I had listened to that inner voice. Honestly, when done properly, the entire idea of shazaam as billy batson is so interesting and so much can be done with it that he is a fascinating character.

Superman asking "who did this to you?" is the purest distillation of the concept of Tranquil Fury, he is so angry that he's calm. Which is terrifying given what Supes can do when pushed, and the Wizard Shazam having the stones to try and justify his robbing a kid of his childhood... he's truly lucky Superman does NOT think he is a god and should pass down judgment like one. Otherwise, magic or no, Wizard Shazam would quickly understand terms like "relativistic speed" and "explosive decompression". Yeah Superman isn't immune to magic; but that means little when you see lightspeed as a casual exercise pace, and regularly tango with gods of the New and Grecian variety.
