Not much to say on this personally. I mean it does what it says on the tin. A SD Card and a modern TV interface option, whether it be a native HDMI option, or a more preferred, but expensive RGB support. Good stuff if you want to have your games on a replaceable SD Card. But seriously why'd they go with translucent blue?

Everytime I see folks review this unit the one thing i mention is for my unit: I use a microSD card extender, makes messing with the micro-SD Card a non-issue. Granted it hangs off the unit but it makes it much easier to add games on occasion.

I have the previous model on my SuperGraFx with HD Retrovision cables into a Gcomp 8:2. I’m not sure this revision is something I really want or need but, I think it’s very cool to see a continuous update for PCE although one thing I’m disappointed is I really wish they’d add more storage options like the M.O.D.E. does.

you did not have to power cycle the tg16 to reset it just push the run and select will reset without turning the console on and off.

The HDMI output is actually pretty nice. But if you have a retrotink 5x, the RGB out is the better option because that device has more filter options.

the cover art feature is kinda neat, but yeah definitely seems to take a second or two to load each page. this is a neat little system though if I ever got a hold of a compatible system this would definitely be a must-buy!

I mean, that depends on your goals. This is definitely an easier way to play the games, but if you want the real hardware then no.

I bought one of these and the cd based games experience graphics crashing after playing for a few minutes on most games. I’ve tried every setting and tried it on both an HDTV and an old CRT television and it happens on both. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any idea what I could be doing wrong or what I could do to resolve the issue? I tried connecting to the Terraonion Discord but I’ve never used he platform before and don’t really understand how it works.

Does the hdmi just not look as good? I have the retrovision component cables for my Genesis and Saturn and the 5x, you think it's that much better to use one of those on it?

The blue plastic was from a potential cross-promotional partnership with Blockbuster Video, but when the rental company did not BEND to the profit-sharing agreement, TerraOnion had to PULL OUT of Oregon :( Had the marriage worked, you wouldn’t just have a blue SDHS3, it would also have yellow-painted logos

The aspect ratio is way off, when used through the HDMI port. How can you get something that simple wrong?

This device is great but only having a blue colored device is a BIG mistake. Terraonion should've given its customers a choice of color. I prefer my semi transparent dark charcoal one. And what about that price hike!!! Ouch!!!!!!

Never understood Terraonion’s SD card slot choice lol.. I have a MegaSD and its the same, I need a screw driver to get it out. I bite my nails and so have any lol. Looks like a cool device though, I thought of buying a CoreGrafx and one of these, but I have a MiSTer that plays PC Engine really well so I think I’ll stick with that for the time being. Would be cool to collect some PC Engune though, it’s a console I just never got around to owning/playing in the past.

I have the regular SD System 3, and while the menu and SuperGrafx support is a nice upgrade, Adam, I REFUSE to pay $300 for that blue shell. Incredibly awful decision by TerraOnion.
