It’s something that almost transcends just a mere “performance”. Yebba is mourning here. I can’t help but to mourn with her. She’s spoke how this song took on new meaning after her mother’s passing. I empathize with her as I went through a very similar experience in life. I, a grown man can’t get 10 seconds into this song without welling up. I’m grateful for her courage to share she story. It’s helped so many more people than she will ever know.

She is a singer/songwriter. This song was releashed copyright free, as she sang it shortly before her mother committed suicide. She shot herself outside Yebba's Window. A very sad story. Her latest album is named Dawn after her mother. Paranoia Purple is written from the perspective of her mother.

I only just found her recently and had the same reaction as you, I was shocked, stunned, astounded. The talent of Yebba is a once in a generation talent. She plays her voice like a musical instrument. I'm so glad to have found her. I also love how she doesn't use that hipster style of singing where they mess with the vowels and deliberately underpronounce words, instead she clearly enunciates and its astounding.
