She is still with the group Girls' Generation or SNSD. She has not leave them. She is the leader. She is also a member of the supergroup from SM their name Got The Beat.

It's funny how you mentioned she's like a Disney princess singing because she actually sang "Into the Unknown" from Frozen 2 for the movie promotion in Korea. She also promoted the new Frozenland in Hong Kong Disney in commericals.

Taeyeon is a perfect singer to make justice to nearly any song. The music itself not her ego. Top professional vocalist. And because she don't follow trends her music is timeless. It is quite rare that singer in this level has as humble attitude towards music as Taeyeon has. If you'll get to know her better you'll soon notice what rare gem she is and why she's been on top so long time. She's unique.

Taeyeon is a K-pop God, there's no other way of putting it 👑 You obv know she's a member of Girls' Generation (SNSD), who, btw, honestly, are so iconic at this point, that they've long transcended the barrier between K-pop generations and futile popularity contests. Most girl groups have become idols because of them, most boy groups were genuine SNSD fanboys. The wildfire success of their magnus opum Gee (2009) can actually be mapped in data to the orginal rise in global popularity of K-pop. Like, Gee was handsdown the biggest K-pop song, and I think, most viewed and winning, till Gangnam Style dropped in 2012, which is why, in 2023, Rolling Stone named it the greatest K-pop song of all time. Their debut song Into The New World (2007) is known for being the best Kpop debut, and also as the national anthem of K-pop. And while that sounds cringe, the reason for that is because it's used in every South Korean protest as a means to peacefully protest, including the one that just happened for the impeachment of the South Korean president. Like, it's actually funny how many SKorean presidents have gotten impeached to that song. It's also the official anthem for SK's LGBTQ+ community. It doesn't even end there. The 2 most popular titles given to SNSD by S.Korea are 'Nation's Girl Group' and 'Textbook of Girl Groups.' Girls groups are literally required to learn and release a public performance to GG's debut song as a rite of passage before their official debut. Every Girls' Gen member is a household name. Most of the members are now famous Kdrama actresses. Taeyeon is one of the top 2 female soloists in SK, the other being IU. This is not an exaggeration, Taeyeon is one of K-pop's greatest vocalists, as expected of an SM main vocalist ofc, but she's pretty much the template. Taeyeon's fame at this point is literally out of the stratosphere. Not only is she the leader and main vocalist of the most iconic K-pop girl groups of all time, she has had one of the biggest K-pop solo careers. You have to watch her MVs. Kpop stans normally feel hesitant to tell people about their music taste, but Taeyeon's music is so fucking high in artistic and vocal value that you'd wanna tell everyone you're a fan. Musically, think of her as the Celine Dion of K-pop. Her voice is powerful and emotional, and when she was 19, a critic described her as having the voice of a woman who's been divorced 7 times. Now, she's almost every K-pop producer's dream artist to work with, including JYP himself, who's gone on record to say this. Fun fact: Taeyeon was actually the inspiration behind BTS's song Boy In Luv. She also dated EXO's Baekhyun back in 2014-15. You should watch her Killing Voice. Girls' Gen just celebrated their 17th anniversary and the group is still together, despite most of them not being in SM anymore. Back in their peak, SNSD were known as the 'insurmountable wall' because they were constantly winning over both boy and girl groups with hit-after-hit.

Taeyeon uploaded a vlog during the shoot of this Killing Voice episode. Her staff were there and they can only hear her singing, but not the music.

*In case newer kpop fans go with any misunderstanding, and to reaffirm what @Suha2019 was commenting earlier on.* *Taeyeon is STILL the leader of Girls' Generation which is STILL considered active even though most of their time in on individual activities. Girls' Generation's last known comeback was two years ago and most of the industry believe they will still comeback again.* *Taeyeon was also a leader of TTS, a subunit of Girls' Generation, and was appointed by BoA to be the leader of Got The Beat as well.* *While the remaining Girls' Generation members do not sing as strongly or as often as Taeyeon, their vocal skills are comparable to most of other girl groups' main vocalists. That is evident enough of how strong the entire group really is.*

Thank you for the reaction... I recommend to you to react to Taeyeon Top 12 emotional singing (concert edition), she showcases more powerful songs and vocals in that video. I also suggest to check out BTOB on Killing Voice, they are amazing singers as well and their harmonization is perfect.
