Lyrics:
I've seen her smiling
The sunlight shining on her now
She couldn't stay here
She knows you won't let her down
You know she couldn't stay here with you
You know she had to go
Even though she couldn't stay here with you
You know you're not alone.
No matter what you think you did wrong
She knew she had to go all along
No matter what you think you did wrong
She knew she had to go all along
I've seen her shining
The sunlight's crying for her now
She wouldn't stay here
She knows you won't let her down
You know she couldn't stay here with you
You know she had to go
Even though she couldn't stay here with you
You know you're not alone
No matter what you think you did wrong
She knew she had to go all along
No matter what you think you did wrong
She knew she had to go all along

Every time i listen to this, i cry, not just cause i miss chester, but this brings me back to that era of Hybrid Theory. Out yeah. Linkin Park was and is an inspiration for me. But now at the time I can understand Chester Bennington. Because only a person with depression can understand another person with depression. Even I won't get old. 40 or 50 is a good age because you are, mostly, in the middle of life and at this time it's going downhill with the health. And without the best friend like he was, even I don't know what I've done in this situation. I can understand him

@@96EisbrecherFan I hope you'll get to enjoy the small things again, and after 40-50 as well (if we're alive)... It requires effort and *some* deep positivity (some breaks from reality etc), which is so hard to find when you see even life itself is crumbling down, but yeah.

Just now finding this... My brother introduced me to Linkin Park. He gave me Hybrid Theory when it first came out. Linkin Park has helped me through so much in my life. They taught me how to recognize things like anxiety and depression in a world where mental health was a stigma. They literally saved me. I lost my brother Dec 23, 2020 and as I'm coping with his loss I find myself finding comfort in their lyrics. Yes most of them remind me of him and yes that makes me cry, but I realize every album reminds me of a different time in my life and of the different things I've been through and overcome. Linkin Park is the light that chases out the darkness. Thank you gentlemen for sharing yourselves with the world!

He knew he had to go, all along. and we knew it, too. It was in almost in all of their songs. Neither he nor us would ever admit it, bit we knew what's gonna happen. We all could tell by the never-ending pain in his voice - the pain that got us all hooked on LP's music back then And yet, none of us could believe that the inevitable has happened. I still refuse it believe it, years later. The day Chester left us was the last day I myself thought of suicide - after 3 attempts and 10 years of depression. I guess it took one extraordinary life to save countless others. And if his music still helps even just one of you helpless souls out there to keep going, then we know - his sacrifice was not in vain. In the end, it did matter, Chester. We miss you.

I grew up with 5 uncles that each tried to make me into their musical clones with their own favorites, LP blew them all away.

This is a bit long but I hope someone reads it. Linkin Park literally saved my life 13 years ago. I was deeply depressed and suicidal. I wanted to download music to listen to as I “went” and somehow found Numb. It was like the song had been written for/about me. I listened to more of their songs and saw the amazing community of fans and realised that I wasn’t alone. I got the chance to meet them in 2014 and shook Chester’s hand and told him thank you. It was honestly the best day of my life. Everyday is a struggle when you have mental health problems but, like you will have heard many times before, you have to be strong. Even if it’s just to get out of bed. Set that as a goal and achieve it. Then set bigger and bigger goals. LP FTW!

That was me 20 years ago. Hybrid Theory saved my life. It's been one hell of a rollercoaster ride for me for the last 20 years and it seems like everytime I'm struggling LP either released a new song or a new album and it pulled me back. Hybrid came out 2 weeks after my moms best friend passed from cancer she was like an aunt to me I loved her so much and I was struggling so bad. Meteora came out not long after my grandpa died which I also struggled hard with. One more light came out a month after my niece died. Then the most amazing experience happened in 2019. Chester was gone but he still showed up when I needed it most. My father had passed away from cancer I was sitting on my floor making photo boards for his funeral (closed casket) crying so hard cuz it hit me like a ton of bricks at that moment. My phone chimed look at the notification its youtube. "Mark Morton cross off feat Chester Bennington" I of course cried even harder because although he was gone it was like chester knew I needed him. There was something with every album but to put them all here this would be a very long comment. 20 years worth of LP or Chester being there for me is alot.

Theyre still very talented people who got huge, loyal global fanbase throwing money and love around very freely

Linkin park writes songs that a lot of people can relate to, no matter what you're going through - you'll find a song that perfectly describes your feelings and gives you comfort. This song gives me comfort when I think about leaving. It's cold and warm at the same time.

"She Couldn't" is very differently stylistically from other Linkin Park material at the time. It is over five minutes in length and features an extended instrumental breakdown. "She Couldn't" also one of the softest songs the band has produced, particularly from the Hybrid Theory era. This is also an extremely rare case of a Linkin Park song sampling music from another artist. "She Couldn't" samples Mos Def's vocals from "B-Boy Document '99" by High & Mighty. Although the demo CD was advertised as being a 1998 demo, "B-Boy Document '99" was released on August 24, 1999, on High & Mighty's album Home Field Advantage, meaning the song had to have been written around that date. The track was also present on The Urban Network's 1999 compilation Rapology Sixteen which featured illustrations by Mike Shinoda.[2] It's possible this CD is where he first heard the song. On July 3, 2009, after LPLive released the full CD for free download, Mike posted on his blog about the song, "Many of you have asked about an old demo that is floating around. The song is called “She Couldn’t.” We recorded it in 1999 during the making of Hybrid Theory, but it never made an album and was never released by us. For legal reasons, that’s all I can say about the song, but I hope this clears things up!"[3] The version of the song on the demo CD features static throughout the song as the initial pressing of the CD was faulty.
