@MiG-23 they never get any money for working in their home country, but only food rations, housing, and clothing. That’s why many of them are enticed to be sent over to work in Russia for a term. There they work for up to 20 hours per day, for which the Russians pay a RUB 500 ($7) daily wage. Out of this, half is paid directly to the North Korean government and a half to the worker. With this little money, they can afterwards afford to provide something other than necessary for their families. But they most likely will buy food with the money bc the food rations given are very small and most people living there are starving

What is wrong with you? These people coming from there are scared and risk their life and family to leave that country just to come here meeting prejudice like these ! NK is a very very poor country and obviously she came from a very rich background which allowed her to go that far as leaving her country. She was privileged and used that to save her and he rmother from that terrible destiny and you are here insulting her. Good job

This is the usual route for NK escapees in China- they make it down south to Yunnan and then acriss the border to Laos or Thailand, where contacting South Korean authorities/embassy and claiming asylum is much easier. But if found in China, they get arrested and sent back to NK (not surprising at all, considering China's complete disdain for human rights ). There were many heartbreaking cases of NK ppl making it all the way to China's south, only to be caught and deported back to that hellhole. Greetings from Zhengzhou, Henan.
@dmanke2 жыл бұрын
@@nataliasz2389 As I know Laos really isn't favorable on human rights either, but its interesting that they aid asylum seekers. I know Thailand has been open about it in the past, allowing the Burmese to migrate during the civil war.
