This was the most back handed support message I have ever heard. This man is incredible in his ability to revise history in his head. Saying that Sunak took on a difficult job because the markets were 'rocky' when he was the chancellor that created the issue in the first place is odd but the fact he didnt acknowledge that he had anything to do with it is just bizarre

Nice to see Kwasi yukking it up as though he wasnt the most disastrous Chancellor this country has ever had. His budget is factually the mist damaging budget in British history. Him and Truss should be completely ostracised if not punished for losing the UK 10 of billions simply by publishing a policy, neither of them have been really held to account as sren by this ridiculous interview. The man has no shame.

They make a huge deal about their "halving inflation" target... 3 points, 1. It was always going to come down because it was a supply side problem and as those issues resolve on the global stage it would come down. 2. Because it was being resolved on the global stage, Rishi actually did very little. 3. Because he did not put a date on it, he could resolve it at any point. 4. We are still ahead of the BoE targets 5. It's a meaningless statistic anyway because it is a rate of change of costs. When the reality is we should be looking at average costs vs average income. So however you look at it, the promise was meaningless.
