Big oops on my part: there's a big ol' blank space of nothing around 44:46-47:23. You can cut videos once they're posted on KZbin, but sometimes it can mess up the sync with the audio on the whole video soooo... the blank space is gonna stay lol

I forgot to mention four things, Addie: 1.) A few weeks ago, Marvel got the film rights to the Hulk franchise back from NBCUniversal. 2.) Cheetos with chopsticks was Oscar Issac’s idea. You can find photos of him doing that online. 3.) Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will arrive on Disney Plus in two weeks from today. 4.) Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will arrive to digital on Tuesday, August 8.

That's equivalent to saying Sam's hero name before Captain America was Black Falcon since multiple people in-universe called him that. MCU Hulk hasn't even figured out he has DID yet and that Bruce and the different Hulks are different alters. Seeing Jen completely devoid of what he thought were regular Hulk symptoms in She-Hulk is his first step toward figuring it out.

I don't know why anyone would complain about the TV series it feels exactly like her comic series "The Sensational She-Hulk". The casting is great, the stories fit the feel perfectly, the slight change in Jennifer's personality to be more confident and out going as She-Hulk is so fitting and just tongue-in-cheek enough, while her fourth wall breaking is perfect.

@@promiscuous675 I'm always sorry to see blind and deaf people on the internet... The story is a mess with no direction, Jennifer don't have any significant character development because according to the writer she seems to have no flaws and can do and be whatever she wants without having to evolve (She's a woman after all, it's not like she's a human being with flaws or anything), and the fourth wall came out of nowhere, was badly executed, and was here more to make a(nother) point than to be "fun" (compare that to Deadpool, who did it right). Anyway, please stop justifying this shit. Everytime writers try to make a point instead of just telling a story, it's bad. This show is a perfect example of that, and no amount of biased people will take that away. Everyone has the right to like shit, but at the end of the way it's still shit. So please stop trying to make other people think it's not. Thanks.

Hey, Addie! As a fan of both She-Hulk and Tatiana Maslany from "Orphan Black", I was really looking forward to their introduction into the MCU but this material really let them both down. The origin was simplified from a gunshot and a transfusion but still involved Bruce's blood getting into Jennifer's body. Despite her protests about superheroics, Jen loved being a superhero and was part of the AVENGERS, A-FORCE and the FANTASTIC FOUR when the Thing was off-world. The series is taking its cue from the DAN SLOTT run of the 2000s that had Jen take a sabbatical from adventuring to return to her lawyer roots specializing in superhuman law. The breaking of the fourth wall was from the JOHN BYRNE "Sensational She-Hulk" run of the 1980s that revitalized the character and made her a fan favorite. She-Hulk was DEADPOOL a decade before Deadpool existed! Jennifer's ability to control her transformations is comic accurate. The one thing they haven't quite nailed is that, as Jen Walters, she was originally a wallflower filled with insecurities and inhibitions. As She-Hulk, she's a celebrity superhero who revels in her liberating sensuality as a gorgeous, statuesque glamazon! The show continually undercuts that fundamental premise by having Jen reject her powers and demand recognition in her depowered form. At one point in the comics, Jen loses the ability to revert to human form after a massive radiation exposure. Mr. Fantastic breaks the news to her with sensitivity because his lifelong friend, Ben Grimm aka the rocky Thing, has never been able to revert to normal which causes him anguish. Jen waits a beat and then says, "What's the bad news?". Lol. That says everything you need to know about her in a nutshell! By the way, the law firm's name GLK&H stands for Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg and Holliway. Holliway is the senior partner played by Stephen Coulter on the show but Goodman refers to Martin Goodman, the publisher of Marvel Comics in the '60s, Lieber is Stan Lee's real last name and Kurtzberg is Jack Kirby's real last name! As he is the unrequited lover of Jennifer Walters in the comic, I had hope for Augustus "Pug" Pugliese to develop into a romantic foil perpetually overlooked by She-Hulk yet right under her nose but the show just made him into a vapid, shallow sneakerhead! Pretty much everyone who works at that law firm is vapid and shallow. Marvel has always carefully rolled stuff out so that we have familiarity with things before they're utilized. We never saw Alfheim, the realm of the "Light" Elves, who are more fairy-tale oriented rather than Tolkienian in nature. Therefore, the appearance of this impish, masquerading fairy was very abrupt and weird. It seems to come from nowhere. It was good to see Bruce, Wong and Abomination. Madisynn was a blast and actually should become part of the MCU! Lol. So many other characters are done dirty. The worst thing is what they did to the WRECKING CREW! They are staple Marvel thugs who were empowered by Asgardian magic transmitted to the group while they clutched Wrecker's enchanted CROWBAR as it was struck by lightning. It can tear through anything! The group consists of: DIRK GARTHWAITE aka THE WRECKER with the Crowbar DR. ELIOT FRANKLIN aka THUNDERBALL with a Wrecking Ball BRIAN CALUSKY aka PILEDRIVER with powerful Fists HENRY CAMP aka BULLDOZER with a Helmet and Thick Skull Together, they nearly beat She-Hulk TO DEATH in the comics!! Not so, these chumps. Here, they look like a skateboarding crew or garage band stoners with neon accessories stolen from an Asgardian construction worker? That's not even silly. It's just stupid. The hot doc got a lot of flak but Jen catfished him with a She-Hulk pic and he was being honest about what he likes. She practically drooled over his buff bod so what's wrong with keeping him as a booty call contact? I think he'd be down for that since he thinks She-Hulk is amazing. Why can't they have fun together? In the comics, her long-time boyfriend is a Native American weightlifter called Wyatt Wingfoot. Mallory Book (Renee Elise Goldsberry from "Hamilton" and "Altered Carbon") becomes an antagonist in the comic after one too many misadventures with Shulkie. The show does nothing with that. Isn't this the world of the SOKOVIA ACCORDS and THE BLIP? How do so many have casual powers that everyone else accepts nonchalantly? Why didn't Mordo track down Donny Blaze and kill him like he did to Pangborn? Too many sorcerers, right? It's like the show is disconnected from the MCU! Luke Jacobson, the designer, is an authentic DEEP-DIVE into "Dakota North" comics. She was a Private Investigator with a haute couture fashion sense and Jacobson was a designer obsessed with outfitting her. He looked like Fabio in the comics. Lol. They ruined Titania! MARY MacPHERRAN aka TITANIA is not a super-influencer. She's a skinny little runt from the wrong side of the tracks in Denver who gets picked on by mean, popular girls. When a section of Denver gets ripped from Earth to be a part of Battleworld in "Secret Wars", Doctor Doom makes an offer to its citizens to join his forces in exchange for great power. Mary takes the deal and is transformed into a spiked, leather-clad muscle woman dubbed Titania by Doom. She targets She-Hulk because she's the strongest lady around and nearly kills her in Hulk form with the Wrecking Crew and Doc Ock. When Spider-Man defeats her, she has a wake-up call. Spidey tells her she's a classic bully in that she was abused, became powerful and abused that power by tormenting the weak. The epiphany leaves her shattered. Carl Creel, the Absorbing Man, falls for her and restores her self-esteem. The two villains become DEEPLY DEVOTED to each other and are one of Marvel's great romantic pairings to this day. I greatly prefer the above story to the nonsense the writers made up. There were several assertions Jen makes that bothered me. 1. She's indignant about men who condescend to her about her area of expertise yet she contends that she knows how to deal with this radical transformation better than the only expert on the planet: her cousin Bruce. All his warnings about vulnerable friends, lethal strength, moral obligation and inviting challenge from opponents are absolutely legitimate yet she's ridiculously dismissive! How irresponsible and hypocritical! 2. She gloats about her lack of an alter-ego but the reason Bruce has his is because he was abused as a child by a terrorizing father. The 2003 "Hulk" movie by Ang Lee delved into all of it which is why many fans consider it a proto-MCU film. Bruce suppressed all his trauma until it was unlocked by his gamma exposure as unmitigated rage! She displays an utter lack of empathy. As a family member, she should be more understanding especially since she used to help hm hide from his father in the comics. 3. She states that women exist in a state of fear and rage. That's actually more true of men. Women tend to access their emotions more readily than men. They cry. They share their feelings. They shriek with glee. Men are taught from childhood to suppress their emotions and to be stoic. To be emotional is unmanly. Acceptable male emotions are violence and rage as a display of strength. One of the most common difficulties men have in relationships is that their partners complain that men don't express their feelings and thoughts. Men are fearful that such honest expression will negate the image they've been taught to project: being a pillar of strength. Women have a healthier emotional life because they access their feelings and have experience integrating them into their daily existence in a more balanced way. Women may feel rage and fear but they don't have a monopoly on it.

Alfheim was mentioned in Thor and possibly shown in Thor 2, so to be fair, it didn't come out of nowhere. The show explained her and then showed her. The Wrecking Crew could always get powered up later in the MCU, but outside of Thor 7 or 8 its unlikely they would ever show up. Marvel needed them at that power level since Jen is not quite ready for the big leagues yet. As for the Accords, they are mentioned later. The MCU is showing super being are becoming more well known, and especially with millions of mutants popping up now, plus Jessica Jones and others becoming more well known to the public, the superhero population is dramatically increasing. There are literally millions of alien being living on Earth at this point. Wolverine is getting into bar fights. Celestials have shown up. Thanos. Super is becoming the norm. Its Tuesday? Time for a galactic war in central park. Humans are pretty good at adjusting to disruptions. Mallory already seems to dislike She Hulk as too cringey and needy-Jen is kinda socially awkward wallflower in this show. Seeds have been planted. Donnie likely joined after Mordo left, so he wouldn't be on Mordo's list of magic users he knows about. I'm sure in time he will, but really his only magic was his ability to use a sling ring. He doesn't use any magic outside of that. Unlike those Mordo HAS attacked. Seeds for the future. Secret Wars hasn't happened yet, so Titania's origin couldn't have happened yet. So she wouldn't be in and they'd have to substitute her with someone else, downplaying her rivalry with She Hulk-undermining their rivalry. So they gave her a modern update. Her actual origin is still undefined. The bully plot line could still be. Absorbing Man or a prototype version of him was in AoS TV series. Seeds planted. Bruce isn't the defining expert on the planet when it comes to Hulk. He has continued to be shown as unwilling to look outside himself for second opinions on his condition. For instance, as of IM3 he was still refusing to try ANY mental health solutions to his problem as he indicated he knew nothing in that field. Doc Sampson is the expert. Bruce is an expert in physical sciences. The "suns getting real low" was Sampson's idea in the comics and was based on primate research(also used in the Planet of the Apes trilogy). An "expert" should know this. But Jen knows Bruce's answer is always to run and hide. As you stated. She's not that type. Abomination and Leader had full control over themselves almost immediately. because like Jen, they don't have the character flaw Bruce has. A flaw that make him an interesting character. As far as fear and rage, her ability to access her emotions easier than a man would IS her point. Bruce represses his anger until it builds up uncontrollably. And why she is more of an expert. Bruce should be looking to her for guidance for the reasons you state.Instead he dismisses her and claims expertise on all things psyche.Jen as has a background is psychology- handy for a lawyer trying to read a jury or witness. He has ZERO expertise on this beyond his own limited experience. Maybe not a monopoly, but women do have more to fear in day to day life. "Women have a healthier emotional life because they access their feelings and have experience integrating them into their daily existence in a more balanced way". Yep. Making Jen, not Bruce the expert being ignored. Hopefully after World War Hulk he'll finally complete his arc and get help. just like in the comics. So he can join all the other Hulks (MALE and female) in having full control of his forms.

Really like the show. I am a little sad about the main change from the comics. In the comics, Jen started to LOVE being She-Hulk, to the point she considered losing the ability to turn back into Jen a complete non-issue. Because as She-Hulk she was tall, beautiful, powerful, confident, and sexy, everything she'd ever wanted to be (which is in part why She-Hulk manifests the way she does). But the show does, I think, a more meaningful exploration of the differences between Jen and She-Hulk, and takes the opportunity to make some serious points about modern sexism. It's not the show I would have made or the one I necessarily wanted to see, but it was the show it needed to be, which felt more honest. Though some of the legal stuff is pretty bad. As LegalEagle points out, the fact the GLK&H hired Jen to work specifically as She-Hulk (which would also be terribly illegal) would be a much better argument in the trademark case than the dating profile.

This series is fun. The moments of cultural commentary that all but faces the camera to go "you girls know what this is like"... well... I don't know what its like. But that's OK. I can still enjoy this without it all being "made" for me. The power fantasies directed at me in other MCU stories more than make up for it - I suspect there are folks who also overlook those bits that don't directly speak to them there as well. The MCU is a big place. This little corner of the narrative has a piece of it and does a great job at keeping the MCU colorful and light.

Actually, the show more or less set out to garner that exact reaction and then acted high and mighty about it. Nearly every new male character in this is a one-dimensional, irredeemable, cartoon-y caricature of what the writers think people who wouldn't like the show are like. But just like with captain marvel, it's always easier to pretend like "it's just one group of people" who didn't like it, because they don't like strong women, right? It's the writer's equivalent of pushing someone down, then playing the victim card when they retaliate.

Addendum to my comment: remember that this show wasn't filmed as it was airing; it was finished long before that, so it's not like they released an episode, saw the reactions online and then went out of their way to include commentary on that in the episodes. this show has a lot of very fair criticisms. everyone working on it was pretty much being overworked to meet deadlines and the show definitely suffers for that in vfx and cgi quality just as an often pointed out example. there are a lot of fun moments in the show, pretty much every scene with Madisynn is great and some of the next few episodes are actually really good. overall i don't think i'd rewatch this on my own but there's definitely stuff to enjoy about it.

The big difference between the Hulking out of Bruce and Jen is Bruce had a traumatic childhood which forced him to develop Dissociative identity disorder so he has different personalities that manifest when he hulks out, Jen doesn’t so she doesn’t have the same struggle for control as Bruce. That doesn’t minimise trauma Jen has which fuels her rage just means their experiences will always be different.

People just gotta stop ranting on the Internet about everything, and just enjoy a fun show for what it is. Hope we get a second season and for her to cameo on other shows and also in movies. Tatiana Maslany is just awesome! She deserves way more credit and love from us. ❤

Donny Blaze is a parody version of Johny Blaze " the Ghost-Rider" who is rumored to be coming to MCU soon. Thats why the fire magic show thingy to tease. To be clear this Donny Blaze and Johny Blaze are not related just a parody character created for the show i believe. Also there was a tease of a bar fight where 1 man had claws coming out of his knuckles " Wolverine/Logan" written in Jen's laptop in the website. Wolverine is coming back in Deadpool 3 now confirmed by Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in twitter and youtube. There is also a set footage of 4 mins that show Wolverine wearing the comic accurate yellow suit alongside Deadpool's a bit more red-ish version of the suit. Edit: There is also another reference in the website " Tiamut from Eternals" whose head and hands are visible from space. No other show or movie has referenced this except She-Hulk.

People know Deadpool for breaking the fourth wall, but She-Hulk was the first one in the comics to do so. I actually didn’t know she could do that. I know her best from the Incredible Hulk’s animated series, but the first time I saw her break the fourth wall was in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I’m personally glad that Bruce doesn’t show up in every episode, because I feel that would’ve driven away from the purpose of the show. We know Bruce, but now we’re getting to know Jennifer. @14:26 I personally enjoyed Jen’s intro scene with us in episode 3. It was my favorite start of an episode. However, I wouldn’t call Bruce, Emil, and Wong cameos because they clearly show up for more than a mere minute. I feel like they’re either special guest stars or recurring co-stars. Nevertheless, she’s right about one thing: this is her show. It’s also funny how she’s talking to us and her co-stars pay little to no attention to that whatsoever. And we finally found the worst character in the MCU: Madisynn King.

My absolute favorite moment from the She-Hulk comic by John Byrne, which is when she first became a meta-comedy character, is when she literally breaks the fourth wall to escape a villain's jail cell. She punches through the back of the page and then she and her fellow prisoners escape by running across a two-page ad that is a homage to ubiquitous Mile High Comics ads of the time. She then rips the page and returns to the comic. Reading that as a 12 year old in the 80s blew my mind, I was like "Are you allowed to write a story this way?"

Honestly as much as I wanted to like this show, and as much as I love Tatiana Maslany and Jameela Jamil (she was amazing as Titania) to me this show just fell terribly flat because after the first episode aired, the writers admitted they had no idea about how to write a lawyer show and just did what was funny. Okay, sure while they succeeded somewhat, but the problem for me is still that Jen does things that would get her and most of the other women in the show disbarred every episode. That said, as others have said, check out Tatiana Maslany in Orphan Black, she got a well deserved Emmy award for the series. Also, a very young Tatiana Maslany is in the movie Gingers Snaps 2: Unleashed. and she's just as phenomenal there.
