Glad you're watching this, I actually enjoyed this show a lot, which isn't a popular opinion unfortunately. I found it really interesting and well-acted with a cool feel. Obviously has it's issues like all the MCU releases do, but for what I'm watching it for; the characters and the story, it worked for me personally. I hope you enjoy! Can't wait for Loki Season 2 and The Marvels!

It had all the elements of a really good show, but the tight budget and only 6 episodes, it didn't have enough room to breathe and grow. And the Disney+ shows don't bring in a lot of money, so if they're not gonna spend the money to do them justice, they should just hold off. Maybe only one series per year or every other year.

Fantastic opening episode. I adore Secret Invasion's Cold War-era spy Noir vibe, as well as the elements of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Homeland, The Americans, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Battlestar Galactica, Men in Black, and The Thing from John Carpenter. Gravik is a cunning and vicious villain who wants to control all the smoke. He was cold-blooded in what he did to Maria Hill.

Another excellent episode in this series. The transformation of Skrulls into Graviks in the gallery is remarkable. Gravik distrusts and despises humanity but still requires other Skrulls to effectively construct Super Skrulls. Nick Fury and Talos have a fantastic rapport. Every episode of this series has a lot of twists and turns, and I really enjoyed it. Who do you put your faith in? I also like how we learn more about Nick Fury's past and how he progressed through the ranks of SHIELD with the help of Skrulls. In this episode, I especially appreciated Talos' exchanges with Gravik and Nick Fury. I look forward to seeing Gravik's additional Super Skrull abilities in future episodes. I enjoy the series' references to war games and the Red October hunt. Gravik enjoys shooting characters who are defenseless. In 1998, I was 14 years old.

There is actually something you could react to before Loki, if you wanted to. On September 6, Season 2 of I Am Groot came out. There are 2 seasons of it so far, but each season only has 5 episodes and the episodes are only like 4-6 minutes each, so they won't take very long to react to.

You can always start another Marvel property! Netflix's Daredevil is one a lot recommend, but also the legacy MCU shows like Agent Carter and Agent's of Shield have some great content that gets overlooked. On the other hand, there are other Legacy Marvel movies like the Fantastic Four that I would love reacted to. Please just find a way to give us our Marvel fix :)

What I learned from this show is EVERYONE calls him "Nick" Also, it's funny that Hill gets shot by "Fury" in the stomach and you're like "oh shes dead" but Gaia gets shot in the heart and you're like "nope" - I mean you were right but the predictions seemed funny

This unfortunately wasn’t the best show, but I’m still gonna watch your reactions, Addie. Just knowing you’ll be caught up in time for Loki season 2 is super exciting. For me, the biggest moment of suspense so far was Gravik succeeding in his plan and shooting Maria while disgusting himself as Nick. However, one point of criticism I have so far was that they killed Soren off-screen right in the first episode without the proper buildup. @21:29 on a bright side, this was one of the funniest moments of the show. Even Nick backed Rhodey up on the idea. Looking at Talos in human form, I remember that his actor Ben Mendelsohn was Orson Krennic in Rogue One.

I thought the episode was fantastic and truly loved it. Although Gravik despises everyone and has no faith in anyone, he nevertheless needs to collaborate with other Skrulls in order to succeed. Nick Fury is one of my favorite characters in the series, and his relationship with Talos and Rhodey in this episode was great fun. At the butcher shop, there was a really impressive action scene. Overall, I loved how this series took unexpected turns. Who could you rely on? Sonya Falsworth is unquestionably one of the wildest and funniest women you'll ever meet. This show features a lot of political paranoia, which I find to be quite intriguing.

Hey Addie, not exactly true with this being your last show now you’re all caught up, there’s one more that’s part of MCU phase 1 that for some unknown reason nobody wants to watch which a real shame as I still think it still the best show to date and it’s AGENT CARTER featuring Peggy Carter, Howard Stark and Jarvis set just after the disappearance of Steve Rogers, and the origins of Hydra set it the late 1940s. She’s the next bad arss. Agent next to black widow. Only two series and you’ll get to find out what happened next in the Captain America story. In you need a little more convincing then I recommend you watch the Disney Plus Marvel one shot episode AGENT CARTER. The you’ll get it PLEASE

Hey, Addie! Exciting and tense premiere with a shocking ending! I had been looking forward to this series particularly because I was hoping it would course-correct the titanic "Captain Marvel" gaffe of turning the Skrulls from baddies into buddies! SMH. .Unfortunately, it's an abomination that wastes the fantastic source material, some excellent actors and further compounded the MCU's worst problems. Olivia Colman was named Falsworth which means she's the granddaughter of Lord Montgomery Falsworth aka Union Jack, one of Cap's Howling Commandos played by J.J. Feild in "The First Avenger". Gravik, played by the fantastic Kingsley Ben-Adir of "Peaky Blinders" and "The OA", reveals he was scoping Fury out from the start as he was the girl with the ball and the woman on the bench from his nightwalk and the familiar Russian agent in the spy pub where he met Maria. The original graphic novel was one of Marvel's best events written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by Leinil Yu. This show was going to have to contort itself to tell the tale because very few of the story elements were in place. My hope that it wouldn't become unrecognizable from the source material was utterly dashed. Skrullos is devoured by Galactus resulting in a Skrull diaspora. Queen Veranke sets her sights on Earth. The revelation of the Infiltration occurs at a top-secret meeting of the Illuminati when Black Bolt is revealed as an impostor resulting in the dissolution of the group! Fury's hip to it much sooner and vanishes recruiting a group of super kids who were so obscure and new to the game that they were off the Skrull radar. He runs them like a Fifth Column of insurgents popping up for guerilla-style hit-and-run attacks throughout the series. The Skrulls can duplicate superpowers and are all Super-Skrulls! There is a deadly detour to the prehistoric Savage Land of Antarctica! The exciting climax has all of Earth's remaining HEROES and VILLAINS unite for a smackdown in CENTRAL PARK! Janet van Dyne aka Wasp is the big casualty who dies albeit temporarily. A Founding Avenger falls! The team of reformed villains known as the THUNDERBOLTS are being run by Spidey nemesis Norman Osborn on probationary rehabilitation and are part of the Central Park battle. Norman Osborn takes the killshot and brings down the Queen! The heroes are disgraced for their failure to avert the crisis and Osborn is declared the savior of Earth becoming the new head of SHIELD and leader of the Dark Avengers ushering in the era of THE DARK REIGN! The impact of the Dark Reign was felt for several years and even resulted in a shadow Illuminati called THE CABAL which included Osborn, Doctor Doom, Lady Loki, Emma Frost, Namor and The Hood. "Secret Invasion" is one of Marvel's greatest events rife with paranoia and betrayal. This show squandered all the paranoid storytelling potential of a more faithful adaptation.

I feel like it set a more faithful version of it happening down the road. There is still a million or so skrulls unaccounted for. A lot of characters still need to be introduced before they can do a full 3 phase version of it. But now that potential is there.

Addie, you're almost caught up with the entire MCU. My girlfriend & I did watch most of this episode but after a while, we just didn't know how we felt about it. BTW, the opening titles for Secret Invasion (2023) was created via AI (Artificial Intelligence), which is a piece of technology that's scorned by writers & actors, from the WGA & SAG-AFTRA, as they strike for better pay (via streaming residuals) and regulated use of AI. I do hope that they can work things out with the studios so we can all enjoy more great movies & TV shows together.

Have they confirmed that was Fury and not Talos? Talos said in Spider-man he attended the funeral. And Fury might have actually been on the carrier in Age Ultron while Talos was with the Avengers at the farm. He did get to the helicarrier pretty quick.

It really did. A lot of people complained that it was boring/bad start to finish but honestly I enjoyed it a ton up until the last two episodes. The decision to kill Talos *could* have worked in a much better script, but as is his death does not add ANYTHING to the final episodes.

There's plenty of MCU left to watch. There's the Defenders (formerly Netflix) shows, Agents of Shield and other ABC MCU shows, The Runaways on Hulu (also M.O.D.O.K. but that's not MCU) and Cloak and Dagger (may or may not be on Hulu). Then there's Fox produced X-Men shows like Legion (my favorite) and The Gifted. And there's plenty of pre-MCU marvel shows you haven't watched like Fantastic Four and Howard the Duck. And as if that wasn't enough, I'd love to see you react to the 70's TV movies of Captain America and Dr. Strange. And then there's The Incredible Hulk...

This show wasn't nearly as bad as the thirsty Marvel haters out there who probably never watched it said it was.... but.... it did seem to be remarkably, oddly, and disappointingly under-ambitious. There's just so much more they could have done with it and... they just.... didn't. For no apparent reason. Lots of wasted potential. and yeah the ending was pretty dumb as were many of the things they did with the Super Skrulls. oh well. 37th best MCU movie or TV show for me... above Black Panther, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, Mrs. Marvel, and What If... ? Just below Werewolf by Night, Thor the Dark World, and Love and Thunder. Here's to hoping that Loki season 2 is much better...
