The other thing I don’t understand is why Americans seem to think the same attitudes don’t exist in other countries. I live in Mexico and here EVERYTHING depends on how much money you make, the car you drive, the size of your house, etc.. Unless she wants to live in some backwards small town (where most people are most likely going to be racist, homophobic and everything else liberals are claiming to escape from), she’s going to have a very similar experience.

Parts of America are just like a third world country. Parts of LA are worse than Delhi slums or Brazilian favelas. Go to major cities and you will find conditions worse than a lot of African countries. I know someone who actually was diagnosed by two doctors with DID. She does not act anything like the first girl. The second personality (and there’s only one) comes out only under stress and she doesn’t know that she’s any different than normal. I just see kids on Tiktok pretending to have mental disorders because they think it’s a way to be interesting. It’s messed up.

I also had a friend diagnosed with DID and completely agree. The "personalities" are very subtle and its more like a change in the way they interact with the environment rather than a different person. The personalities don't go on adventures, have back stories, or identify as birds. They appear under stress to protect the person from trauma, past or present.

The first girl doesn't think she's an animal; she's hungry for attention. Every single person on KZbin, on TikTok and in life who refer to it as a "system" are just attention-seeking.

I blink my eyes etc. I spend most of my day suppressing it to the point of anxiety. Seeing these young females using it as a trendy quirk infuriates me also. They are usually the 500 genders crowd. They have also erased actual transsexualism. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I just want to point out that you are mixing two different things. When she said "system" she is taking about her (claimed) DID. That's what you call a system. A group of "alters" (personalities) that the brain made to cope with a traumatic experience. The "animal" thing, it's related with another part of "her (claimed) identity"

@@ExplosionMareDoubt it’s even a real disorder; very weak/almost non-existent scientific basis unlike the other ones in the DSM. I think it’s an artifact of poor psychology and only there bc it hasn’t been entirely falsified, which it never will be, due to “increase” in cases following its dissemination in SM and the ensuing popularity. What I lend my credence to however is that the people associating with this label are either bored/depressed attention seekers, naive self-fulfilling prophecies or hospitalized, if suffering from it.

@@ExplosionMare Absolutely, a friend of mine has DID from childhood sexual abuse and it's nothing like this. He has severe difficulties with daily functioning. On top of it, he is autistic and was, in his early 20s, undergoing MTF transition. He has since detransitioned and is living life as a gay man. These mental issues are often related. People identifying as animals and attributing it to DID makes a complete mockery of those actually suffering.

What I meant to say is that the algorithms were designed to lead you from your very first click...because that is where the money is. The social unrest is a side effect of the pursuit of the almighty dollar. Once upon a time the internet made info sharing easier, bringing us closer as a world community. Nowadays, cancel culture and PC has effectively killed free speech. Oh, pardon me, free speech still exists as long as it's the right speech. Tik Toc, along with many other platforms, is a scourge upon the world. You may appreciate this quote: “Never have so many with so little become so big for a duration of time so short. Never before has such a shiftless bunch of life’s lightweights hewn such formidable nests for themselves in so many people’s minds. Never before have the woody meandering paths of directionless plodders led to the blazing floodlit clearing in the forest, the center ring for the mini-history makers.” Cookie Mueller

People are babying the newer generations WAY too much. We do not live in a reality where everyone should hold our hand and coddle us if we don't get what we want. We all need to learn to grow as people and become the best version of ourselves we can be. Home prices have skyrocketed and this makes it hard for young people to buy a home, but it is important to have a plan while you are going to college - a plan of how this college degree will turn into a job. My oldest son got an Electrical Engineering degree and a couple of years out of college makes $87,000 per year and he married my beautiful daughter in law who has a nursing degree. They lived modestly for four years and saved a great deal of money, and they bought a house for $400K. They are doing ok financially and it is because they got degrees that would get them good paying jobs.

Unfortunately they don’t hold pads very well so I could see this dude’s product being a gold mine. And before anyone says I can just wear boy shorts, they aren’t long enough, or have enough room. And honestly, even though I lean moderate, I respect real transsexuals, and there are still transsexual men who aren’t insane that could find use in these. I didn't say that it shouldn't be inclusive, just that I, personally, think that clothing shouldn't have a gender at all. Basically what I'm saying is this is being sold to women and transmen, but I think it should just be sold as "comfortable" or "versatile" so that it includes regular men who may need to use hot/cold packs after a vasectomy or other procedures on that area and may not utilize this product otherwise. The "walk a mile" charity isn't about just spreading awareness. It's a walk-a-thon style fundraiser as well. You register, set a fundraising goal, ask friends, family, fellow employees, bosses for sponsorship and when you finish the walk you go collect the money and turn in the funds you raised. Some people do it in teams some do it individually but the red shoes are simply to draw attention to the domestic violence issue like the MMIW campaign with red dresses.

I'm a biological female. I've given birth 4 times and love being a mom. But I don't gender items, such as boxers. Or jobs, such as cutting down trees in the yard with a chainsaw or working on plumbing or caring for children, etc. Those are all things I do because I can do them and want to do them. I haven't worn heels in 30 years or a dress in about 15 years. When I was 7 months pregnant with my 3rd child, I changed a flat tire on my minivan. Does that make me less female? No. I really don't care what a person wears but our society has lost its mind. Genetics doesn't change just because someone's brain makes them feel different than what biology has determined they are. Those bird or animal people need serious help. Really miss when I was a young adult and could tell someone "you need mental help... you're not a damn bird!" So ridiculous.

The thing is DID is essentially a breakdown of a person's personality (often due to brutal abuse) into a bunch of fragments. They have all the fragments but they aren't all used at the same time. This also means they grow at different rates. As for the therian part. It has been shown with research that people with DID often have personality fragments that are associated with something they aren't aka (a man who has a female fragments or a tree fragment). All in all if she actually has DID which I am not fully convinced of then she probably need help from a qualified experienced DID therapist. Also as for the acting like a bird... Nah that's just her being weird.

I can actually really identify with the girl in your second video. It is very tough to live. Maybe it’s not just America maybe it’s everywhere but it’s just very tough to live anymore and keep up.

Yeah, I think I can say that I'm glad that I'm not on TikTok. I have to just applaud Amala for being able to do a video about the insanity, because I couldn't.

dude, speaking as a woman who would rather wear boxers, the boxer that can fit a pad is a really cool idea. But the comment in that video is right, boys don't get periods.

Walk a mile in her shoes is no different to when people put bras on a raise money for breast cancer. It’s something silly and people donate because they’re doing it. It’s like when people do the day of silence for charities, or bake sales for charity.

To the girl at 6 minutes - hi - I live in Germany. I also lived in NYC and Los Angeles, London, Portland and Tokyo. IT'S THE SAME EVERYWHERE. Everywhere has rent, and bills and work and health insurance and stress and cars and people. YOU are the common denominator. Changing countries doesn't make it any easier. Also? What country will have you? Do you speak a foreign language? Most Americans DON'T. What special skills do you have that will get you a visa or work permit over a native of that country? None? You only speak English (and badly at that)? You have a high school diploma, no college education, and no in-demand skill set? GOOD LUCK. Also - pads in boxers for postpartum mums is an AWESOME IDEA. After having a baby, your nethers are quite a state for a while, everything hurts, bleeds and is swollen. I would have loved to have had those after birthing my son.

I know its not fair or right in a way but i grieve the loss of someone when they decide to transition 😔 I know its a decision they make to feel better about themselves but its just really sad when you love or admire someone for the person that they are but they dont have the love or care for themselves ❤ I watch some shows from an independent media company and they have an amazing talent who I loved and thought was so amazing and fun just the way she was and now she's completely changed herself and its just wild to me how someone does these things to their body over a feeling that very well could change. I fear for their health and longevity ❤

The walk a mile in her shoes heel thing has been around for a very long time. When my college did it, it involved an entry fee which went towards the non profit organization that was helping women. I agree with you most times but I'd suggest doing research on that one before dismissing it like you did.
