Kasey isn't just singing a song she's sharing her pain and angst .....it's hypnotic for the audience. To some degree we all have been there in a bad relationship.....and then finally finding the strength to stand up and say "NO MORE"!!! Love this performance.

In response to your prompt, does the emotion from a singer resonate, yes. The way she is living the song in the moment moves me. Kasey Chambers is one of the very, very few performers I’d rather listen to in live performances than a studio version. She brings the song to life when she performs.

Great reaction to a great artist. Try her ode to being homesick next (bring tissues) - "Kasey Chambers - Nullarbor Song (Live)". The Nullarbor Plain (Null - no & Arbor - tree, so No Trees Plain) is about 200,00 km2 of land along the southern edge of Australia. It has a permanent population of less then 100. Kasey grew up camping with her family on the Plain (dad was a professional fox hunter) and describes it as having the world's largest backyard.

Glad you like it. There are a few versions on youtube of Kasey singing this song. All good but never quite the same. Most have either the same trio as here or just Kasey and guitarist but there is one on the Cayamo boat, 2019, with guitar, slide and violin that's worth checking out, [Not as a reaction - purely for your own enjoyment.]
