My dad was a car dealer so my sister and I lived above the garage so we had access to to tools and used cars what a blast then when we moved from above the garage dad had tools in the garage at our house it was great! I built a lot of stuff for my Land Cruisers, stereo system, rag top, winch, cb station and etc!

My son made these pushers for passing his wood through the band saw. I always feel really calm watching him use them. Watching you in fast motion was a bit nerve racking lol. My grandfather lost the tip of his index finger on one of those and he was a professional cabinet maker. Take care my darling girl. But Ashley, you are being creative! I know you have so many fun ideas for the future, but I look at your property and all the creative things you all have done and am just in awe! Everything about this video was great, but it took me back to my family in the past. Watching Jonathan and the kids working in the yard and one shot was him and your daughter walking away from the camera and they both had the exact same stride. It just reminded me of one time my husband, his son, and a grandson walking across a desert lot that we used to live on and they all had the exact same stride all three of them... Everyone working together to clean up and organize was great! And thank you Jonathan for showing us how to clean up a mini split. Looked like a bigger job than I would want to take on, but you were up to the task! Your boxes came out really cute Ashley. Such treasures!!!! There is one dead pear tree here on my home. The pears grew on an irrigation ditch that was here when my dad was a boy. He was born in 1925. That pear tree would make beautiful little boxes with great memories behind them. I really enjoyed this video.

Your mini split is way more complicated than mine. Mine is an LG. Its easy peasy to clean. My service guy told me to clean the filters, and vacuum the tube (outside) once a month. Plus he showed me to use canned air gently to clean coils. Works great. No more leaking inside.

They're all pretty much the same. Those are great preventative measures, but eventually you'll have to clean out the drip tray, and probably replace the inside fan blower.

12:24 Instead of cutting through the side to make the cut to empty out the middle, you could drill a hole and unclip the saw blade and re-clip it once it's in the hole previously drilled.

Our road gets so bad in the spring that everyone that visits us at that time comments on it. It’s bad in the spring because the freezing and thawing in the he winter breaks up the surface of the road then the thawing ice water gets in the crack’s. This water freezes again making the holes in the road gradually bigger and bigger. No one speeds down are road at this time but you may lose small animals or little children down them if your walking down the road. Anything more than a crawl while going over them is likely to cause damage and you do have to pick your way through multiple craters in the road so you can’t just avoid them.

The guy that was teaching me how to use a band-saw cut off his thumb right in front of me. It took me years to be in the same room without breaking into a cold sweat. Now I have 2 of my own and love using them. My mini split did that this weekend too. Pink slimy stuff clogging.

This was so cool! I love wood, not the actual working of it now, because I live in a very tiny house on a very tiny piece of land and can’t afford a tool, let alone a shop. My brother is a contractor & builds houses & remodels. My dad worked for a lumberyard for 25 years. The love of wood and building is strong in my family. I love what you created! I’m in awe of your creative talent & envious of your dad’s shop! Soooo envious!!! What I could do in there!!! You made beautiful useful memories from your childhood home to pass to your children! Okay, it has become very clear to me quickly, that a mini split should have simple access to the drip tray for daily maintenance so you don't have to do major surgery to remove it. Lost me after the first two steps. 😄

Hey, we have the same road issues when it rains. We are on 10 acres in Northern Arizona. We are responsible for our roads so a bunch of us (neighbors) get together and scrape and fill holes, but your issue sounds like it needs a culvert. Can you add one, or is it on someone else's property?

We have a similar, but much smaller issue, in my neighborhood in Tucson. A nearby neighbor (a very nice elderly man) has a very large divot in his driveway, just as it meets the street. His driveway is mostly dirt, with a smattering of gravel that has slowly disappeared into the dirt. Every time it rains, the divot fills with water, which then washes mud and silt onto the street, and runs downhill to our property. We end up with a slick of mud in the street and into our driveway. Everything (silt, sand, gravel) washes towards us. Since we have a large property, we scoured the land for various sizes of rocks, filling the base of his divot with the larger rocks, and gradually filling it with smaller angle-edged stones to lock everything in place. YES! It worked! He no longer has to deal with bottoming out in the divot, has a smooth, level area, and this is the first monsoon that we’ve been relieved of the sludgy silt flowing into our driveway! Sometimes, all it takes is helping a neighbor out to solve everyone’s problems.
