I was thinking maybe it was just a bad area with a bad history, but since he states that it's one of the safest neighbourhoods, it clearly wasn't that. So my next thought is, he stated he had slowed down to look at the neighbours Christmas lights, that might have made it look to her as if he was tailing them, and once she felt uneasy she decided to ring the nearest doorbell for help. It's just coincidental that it was his house, but to her if she felt like she was being followed by a slow moving car, that same car now pulling in to the driveway she is at, was enough to push her over the edge. His race could have played a part, but tbh in this kinda situation, a woman walking at night with her 2 young kids would likely feel uneasy if she felt a car with a man driving was following them, I don't think what race the person is would make too much of a difference. Edit- I posted this before you started looking at comments & her explanation vid, I think she tried to lie & over dramatize what happened because she realised she made a bit of a fool of herself & over reacted, but she does seem genuinely upset at being branded a racist. I do think she still might have reacted the same way & told the same lies regardless of the persons race tho.

Sounds like everything was done and dusted until she went and lied about the whole situation to her (large?) following on IG. I could totally see where she could be scared initially while out with her two small children and a car is creeping next to her, and even whne that same car pulls into the driveway of the house that you went to to seek refuge. All that sounds legit, especially knowing that she posts abduction and human trafficking awareness videos, so she is probably always on alert because of her subject matter. She didn't handle the follow up very well when she went back and realized the guy lived there, and she didn't explain it very well at all. I would guess that since they have a business, and she had this interaction with what she no knows ia a black man, she freaked and didn't know how to recover from it. Just tell the truth, I'm sure she didn't originally know he was black, her flight instinct kicked in she booked it. When she later found out he did in fact live in that specific house, she should have apologized for the misunderstanding, but she went into excuse mode instead, then lied to her followers. It only becomes (potentially) racist when she lied about the "aggressive black man" that confronted her; I would love to see that original video of her description.

@@MyNameIsTwan You don't know what karma is. Karma is dished out by nature, not people. And certainly not people who haven't been affected by this since it didn't involve the people threatening her. Pretty sure the one guy affected can deal with things himself without the help of complete strangers... But if you think it's ok for strangers not involved in the incident to threaten a mother of 2 young kids, because she told a little lie to try & make herself look a bit less foolish, then I don't know what planet you're on, but it's definitely not Earth.

Had to watch back but it appears she tells her daughter to ring the door bell before she interacts with him, so there would be no way for her to tell he is a black guy prior to being scared that he is following them

I really don't care if she was lying or what. She fucked up and made a mistake, and all these internet strangers need to stop harassing her, because mob mentality is dangerous and a sickness. People need to mind their own business.
