Cammie - completely understand and agree with what you said about ‘spending’ time. Time isn’t actually a real thing and definitely not anything tangible that you could spend.

Cammie spitting truth! I own a company and everything you’re saying is spot on. I would have conversations like this with my gf until she started a medical practice. Like you said, you don’t know until you experience it!

I agree with Cammie! Time is not what we were taught in school and society. Time is just time or it’s not something we earn we just have it.

Taryn mentioning Blackhawk tickets sky rocketing and me being one of the people getting tickets lol. Ive been playing hockey for around 25 years and im super excited to see Connor Bedard play. Also had a similar situation with an ex. We were only dating for a couple months but her ex moved in with her. But I was not having it

i understand both cammie and taryn's viewpoints on time. i understand what cammie was saying about how you GAIN time the more you experience and live. like the longer you live, the more time you've earned for yourself, NOT to live longer (obviously) but just for yourself, you've gained that time. when you experience a period of time, you now have it in you. but i also understand taryn's initial confusion and later disagreement with it, that when you experience time you have now lost it because you now have less time to live.

My wife and I have been doing the game of business write offs. It is quite complicated. This is why small businesses don't do super well. There are not good resources for entrepreneurs starting businesses.

I'm 33 years old, I am the embodiment of that. When we "spend time together" we are embodying a shared experience that litteraly molds our body, brain etc. We're not just spending seconds. with each experience we go on creating a particular reality that we carry around

When we say we want to spend time with someone or any context like that… it is kind of like a LOAN… so you are loaning that time from the universe to spend with someone. Unfortunately the universe can choose whether or not they take that time away from you or not so that’s why you need to spend it wisely!

I don't think you can spend or waste time. An exception to this is if you have somewhere/something to do at a specific time, then yes, time can be wasted, but other than that, no. I think people use the term 'wasted time' when referring to the regret of what they did with their time, ie; dating someone who they probably shouldn't have, but even then, you don't actually know you're 'wasting time' until that time has already been spent. If we knew when we were gonna die, then yes, time could be wasted, because you're counting up instead of counting down, you can't know until after the fact. For example; age, and years spent doing something/with someone, are all things that require reflection in order to be measured, and where there is reflection, there are learning opportunities, thus making nothing a true waste.

To add to the "time" conversation. In physics space and time are one dimension. There is a way you could think about time as the same way as space. We as humans choose where we put our bodies in space as well where to be in time. Like you two did not get to be in the same place as this podcast but you are choosing to be in time with each other. Same as me who is choosing be in time listening to your podcast. This could be another possible way of viewing gaining time with someone.

It’s called “income” tax because its a tax on income LOL. You’re still paying multiple types of sales tax on office supplies and business dinners. People pay property taxes. Your own employer’s profit margin may 30% and income tax could be 30%, so they’d go out of business. Very few business even make 30% profit, and they can’t run the business better because costs for things like food are set by the market hahahaha
