I like how the general tells John and Kate that Crystal Peak is a fallout bunker without telling them it’s a fallout bunker. He, along with the Terminator, knew there’s no stopping Judgement Day, hence the lines, “It’s your only chance.”, and “I opened Pandora’s Box.”

Brewster had been following the "virus" situation for however long it had been going on for and trying to find a solution, all while prepping Skynet's launch. The moment John says "Skynet IS the virus" all the puzzle pieces click into place for him- Skynet had been wreaking havoc on US electronics so as to coerce the military to put Skynet in charge without looking too closely at what Skynet had become.

I don't blame the dad for just standing there, I've seen a lot of movies where a character just stands there like a dumbass but here it's understandable, the man saw his daughter get riddled with bullets, then another daughter claiming to be his real daughter runs in and says "don't trust her!!!", he sees some big guy with guns, people are panicking and screaming, he sees his daughter get back up and turn into a supermodel, and gets shot immediately. Lol, ending was one of the dumbest things in the whole movie! It's stated in the movie Skynet is made of world wide network of computers. The only rational decisions decision anything like Skynet would have made instead, was to use biological weapons.

If there were only 3 movies then people would easily look down on this one as the least favorite! Personally, I don't find this one terrible even in the spirit of the first one which was supposed to be more horror than action! This one still delivered scares to match with the first one, just less shocking so. This was the best ending this series could have, the war should always remain a mystery to the audience, seen only through flashbacks, therefore a Judgement Day ending was perfect!

As far as the T-1 is concerned it does not have the capability to discern a cyborg from a human . A more likely explanation is that its primitive system that relies on motion detection or a heat signature could not detect the T-850 as it was standing still and its heat signature was masked by the machine gun . And besides that thing is on the orders of the T-X not Skynet itself so it alerted the T-X to their location.

As much as people rag on T3 (or just everything that came after T1 and 2 in general), I feel like the atmosphere of this movie is really underrated. You know what's coming throughout the whole thing but you still end up clinging to that shred of hope. Everyone really nailed their parts, especially Nick Stahl and Claire Danes. I first saw this movie when I was 9 years old, and I was dumb enough to say that it didn't scare me but throughout my teens I'd have nightmares of Terminators hunting me down. Whether it was a male or female Terminator, it didn't matter, simply that a being determined enough to chase after me relentlessly at its own pace, and the moment it reaches out and touches you, it's the end? Still terrifies me. So yeah, T3 is actually good.

Agreed, also fuck critics and audience scores and reviews lol. It's a fine sequel but people have let their member berries from the first 2 cloud their takes so much and turning healthy franchises like Terminator into dogshit and Salvation was also a great film that continued the story and was setting up the beginnings of the future war before the lasers and everything, the studio sadly went bankrupt so they were never able to make a sequel

It also solves the time paradox that Skynet never having been developed would have caused, as if Skynet was never developed and never sent terminators back to kill Sarah and later John Connor, then they never would have stopped Skynet from being developed in T2. That inconsistency alone means that Skynet (or at least something like it), Judgement Day and the war against the machines is inevitable - and that's just the logical consequence of T2.

@@QFilmz I agree. The only thing that could catch my interest in another Terminator sequel, is if they don't rehash 2 again. Salvation almost had the right idea. It was advertised as if it would take place in the future war, but they chickened out of using the future we're shown in first 2 movies. Instead it uses the excuse that "this is the beginning of the war" so that it can be a generic movie about humans vs drones with regular guns. It was so forgettable. Genisys and Dark Fate are just atrocious going full circle back to my first comment, they make Terminator 3 look good in comparison. Which is sad because even as a 6 year old child when I first saw that movie, I knew it was bad, and that the series ended at 2.

SnakeEater866 Yes that’s correct , have you seen T2 (3D) battle across time ? It’s sort of a mini sequel to T2 , John is a little older , it’s amazing , I’d say that would be the last thing that’s worth while , I watched dark fate in cinema about a month or two ago , it just made me realise how brilliant T2 really was , also is “snake eater” from MGS 3 ? One of the best games every made , I played them all since 1998
@Chico50445
@Chico50445 4 жыл бұрын
@@QFilmz Yes I saw that back in the day at Universal Studio, so I don't really remember it except for the broad premise that T1000 chases John Connor and Arnold(I don't know where the name T800 came from, I never heard them refer to him as T800 in the first 2 movies,so I just call him Arnold) into the future. I tried rewatching it on youtube, but I couldn't, it was definitely made exclusively for the 3D experience at Universal Studios. And yes SnakeEater does refer to the MGS series. Snake Eater is one of my top 5 favorite video games ever. I never looked into the series until 2015, my friends are die hard fans, that were hyped for Phantom Pain, so I jumped on that bandwagon and played the first 4 games. I didn't finish Peace Walker. But to be honest Peace Walker and MGSV are just entertaining fillers. Nothing tops the first 4 games, and now that Konami is continuing to make the games without Kojima nothing will never live up to the first 4 games.
