Paul's dad tried to get him to change it from Yeah, Yeah, Yeah to Yes, Yes, Yes... LOL. He wanted him to use "proper English". Also, when Paul and George first started playing with John, all the chords John knew to play were actually ukulele chords. He had learned to play from his mother and she played ukulele, not guitar. They had to teach him guitar chords. Good lesson Ms. Bernadette! Looking forward to tomorrow's challenge. P.S. Originally George Martin, (their producer), didn't want them to use the G6 chord because it was "too jazzy". But Paul stuck to it and it was included. Paul said the G6 was George Harrison's idea. (Source: Beatlesongs by William J. Dowlding).

George had some MAD skills on the ukulele!! Paul too, but George was a True aficionado. Check out George and Paul playing ukuleles on the Anthology dvd, (the last dvd of the set, "Special Features"). With Ringo playing along slapping on his knees. As they're sitting around the table talking you'll see George 'noodling' on his ukulele while they're all reminiscing. Fun stuff, funny stories.
@SeanVplayer6 жыл бұрын
BTW, among the stories Paul was telling was what lengths they would go to in order to learn a new chord. He tells about how he and John had heard of a guy on the other side of Liverpool that knew how to play a B7. They jumped on a bus, made a couple of transfers, and arrived at his house, learned how to play the chord, got back on the bus to home. Then proceeded to show off their new talent at playing the chord. So remember how easy you have it now to learn all these chords.

Thank you so much for this new challenge and this quite challenging song! I will work on it for weeks but I love that song, so it'll be so worth it. All those quick chord changes, this Bm chord, those different D chords... YUMMY!

Hey Alex!!! Yes, this is a challenging song indeed! But I knew I had to do something like this for all of the subscribers who were patient with me and waited for the 30 Day Challenge to be over. Now we are learning funky chords, fast changes, and barre chords. I think you could play the intro and the chorus in no time. You could probably master that by tomorrow. The verse will take some time, but, like you said, "YUMMY!"

For the second D shape, I would go from Bm to barre D. Rather than switching to three fingers on the D, barre across the GCE strings. You could call this the middle ground barre option.

Hola Bernadette. Really enjoying learning this song, thank you so much. I prefer doing a full barre for the Bm chord, then using my pinky for the D chord, i like the sound of the higher note on the A string. Glad to see you have managed to sort out your Patreon site.
