I said the following before they tool over. - I would have frozen foreign aid for 10 years minimum - I would have not send money abroad for net zero - I would not have given the Carribean 500m, nor the Syrian gov 50m - I would hold referendums on devolution and remove if the people wanted it - highlighting the current costs to the people - I would also not have given the big rises to Unions and I would have expected efficiency gains - I would also have cut government departments (waste) and chopped a load of quangos - I would have also cut local gov and restricted salaries, pensions in local authorities - I would have driven energy prices down by 50-75% for business exports - I would have cut corporation tax to 18% - I would have not put up NI - I would have ended the Chagos issue and said tough - I would ban translation costs across all public sector industries - they have to be paid for by the end customer - I would make anyone non-British to pay for NHS use - I would not have removed winter fuel - I would not have brought in IHT with farmers. In fact I would have energized to sector to grow more food and cheaper for the British consumer (less food imports) - Stopped the money printing and the bad bank of England behaviour - I would have made the city incredibly attractive for listings - I would have done a massive trade deal with the US and given the EU every opportunity to compete and protect the export markets they have. I would not have sided with them by default

I would suggest that part of the problem is beancounters are not wealth generators, they will try and make out they understand, but growth through cuts and taxes is not the way .growth has to be stimulated, and from the grass roots .not from the top.but again it's not seen like that by bean counters.

The cost of this is insupportable and with pensions going to bankrupt us. We just can't afford this, the economy isn't strong enough.

It wasn't that long ago that the Chinese dumped colossal loads of steel onto the world market. The Western steel industry has suffered as a result and now we are closing steel factories in the UK. We need to stop importing and try to bring back some manufacturing. The French had it right when they forced suppliers to have a base in France otherwise no imports. Let's change that to you cannot import unless there is a manufacturing base in the UK. As usual this is all about GDP and not GDP per capita. We cannot continue to rely on the City of London to be the driver for the UK economy.

Right now she's in China. I wouldn't be surprised if she's there to get us involved in China's 'Belt & Road Initiative'. It's stated objective is “improving regional integration, increasing trade and stimulating economic growth”. In reality, it's more about China gaining influence and control of participating members, by massive financial donations. I fear, if she signs us up to it, then we'll be forced to leave the CPTPP (Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership), which has a great trading potential. Then I suspect, Starbanfuhrer, will use it as a justification to snuggle up the dystopian and failing EU.
