This is my 1972 Holden HQ 1 tonner AKA HQ1TN running a 253 fluffy with an AUSSIE 4 SPEED
and she's back on the rotisserie.

Great work mate. I had 9 toners at one stage, all with 253s in em. Also did an ek Ute 25 yrs ago. Ur thumbnail came up on my feed, recognised the cab instantly. I’m subscribed. Looks like ur doing a brilliant job saving some history! Good to see a young bloke doing stuff.🍻👍🎯🇦🇺

Last one tone I done i just cut those floor rails out then tapped all the dents out on the bench then welded them back in

Nice work once again Tait. You should think about cutting that shit looking rear panel out of the cab from below the window and giving yourself a bit of extra room in the cab. That rear panel looks hideous and you could knock up some nice custom fabricated stuff with your improving skills. Bead roll a few designs into it and it would look like it’s something the factory should of built. 👍 P.S the makings of a good mullet is coming along. 🔥

Hahah Thanks mate, I have thought about doing that to the back but i can’t get it registered because it’s structural but my tray will hide it i just won’t have the room in the cab.

@@HQ1TN don't cut it out if you don't want, I left mine in and just plated over the structural part, I don't run a headboard though.. well done anyway, You must have some great guidance..

@@HQ1TN yeah the extra cab space would be nice and modifying the back of the cab would of made a point of difference to all the other 1tunners out there. It’s getting hard to do something that hasn’t been done before. You could still add a nice infill panel for the back of the cab without cutting into the structural areas.
