Hoyo probably didn't think too much about Dehya and Tighnari's weapons given the awkward way they've been presented and have basically been MIA for years, but surely they know by now that this makes standard character's limited weapons much more desirable if they're actually good.

It isn't btw, its a catalyst that gives tons of EM and literally nothing else... no support. Until we get a character like Kazuha/Nilou/Shenhe/Xianyun who specifically wants to build a specific stat to buff the team, but in this case also be a catalyst and the specific stat be EM, there is no point to the weapon(and also they might have a sig that would be better). TLDR Not even close to the value of Dehya weapon or Tighnari weapon.

Ikr, it annoyed me how Xilonen looks like a teenager rollerblader, who happens to be a DJ, and in the story she is an engineer too and behaves nothing like a teenager? And in her gameplay you don't see any of that engineering, and in lore you don't see any of the DJ and rollerblading. She is a bunch of random ideas thrown together 🤔. I legit feel like the design team, the story team and the gameplay team didnt speak to each other about her, and spoke just a little about Chasca and Mavuika (I still love Mavuika, but yeah I see the trend of disconnected ideas on Natlan chars).

Her design doesn't fit her profession *because that's the point.* If you listen to Xilonen, read her lore and observe her attitude, it's clear she DOES NOT actually like being a blacksmith. Short version: Xilonen dresses like a party girl, has the DJ aesthetic, and rollerblades because that's actually what she wants to do with her life. Inventing is only a field of interest and a hobby to her. She chose to be a Name Engraver/black smith not because she wanted to, but because it is an incredibly important profession that very few can do. Unlike most others, she had the talent for it and therefore she felt like she HAD to. How she looks is a reflection of who she really is, not of her responsibilities. LOOOONG version: Voice lines and other content show how much she wants to have more time to rest. And if Mavuika has an order for her, there's a joke one other Natlan characters makes that Xilonen would be running in the other direction. Xilonen also clearly knows what she's doing, but when she talks abour what she does its with the aura of a professional but not with the passion/love for the craft (ie. Compare to how passionate Mona and Layla are about astrology.) Almost like "this is just information you HAVE to know" rather than "this is information I WANT to know". Her character story details how Xilonen only became a blacksmith because of her unique talent for it and a strong sense of responsibility. Her parents were Name Engravers and she grew up being told how difficult and important the profession was. She also saw how there weren't enough people in her tribe who were willing to shoulder the responsibility. She also stood out among her peers for how talented and knowledgable of an inventor she was and she was constantly bugged about it. So all of this was external pressure that pushed Xilonen into choosing to be a Name Engraver. Xilonen didn't WANT the job, but she felt like she HAD to take it. It wasn't until way later that she discovered she also had a talent for being a DJ. She even says to someone that once she can stop being a Name Engraver, she'd like to work foe them as a DJ. This is how I know you never read Xilonen's lore because there's an entire character story dedicated to her talents as a DJ! I think this is very interesting because this is VERY COMMON for adults in the real world. Extremely few people will get the job the want, and there are adults who only picked a profession because they're good at it- not because they like it. What you often see with these adults is that the way they act/look doesn't at all reflect what they do for a living. I've met adults who are lawyers or doctors in the day and but dress like metal heads or anime otakus when out of work. This is why I like Xilonen's design. She knows what she actually wants, but remains faithful to her job out of a sense of responsibility. This is a woman who'd love to be a DJ, but unfortunately lives in land that is constantly under threat and she's one of the remaining few who can support the battle. She's a subtle example of how much of yourself a person needs to sacrifice for the sake of duty, survival, or tradition.

Midzuki heal is self service, funny how she looks like a maid/waitress but if we want healing we have to manually pick the thingy up from the ground, and we already know how painful and unintuitive it is (xiangling chilli which no one bothers to pick up anyway). Her healing is weak and is single target, so much more inferior to jean who is also a standard character. Her swirl buff is negligible, multiplying a low multiplier isn't a massive increase, doesn't look like she has great crowd control. Tbh even lanyan seem so much more useful than midzuki

Fun fact about nightmares. If you have to go to the restroom to no.1 or no.2, but you skip that and go to sleep anyways, you’re more likely and if not guaranteed to have nightmares. So take care of your business before going to sleep so you won’t get nightmares. Btw it’s probably because your body is trying to hold stuff in and it’s in panic mode, which sends warning signs to the brain so brain is also in panic mode, which causes nightmares.

Not really. The weapon gives you 120 EM after a swirl, 96 EM after a skill hit and 32 EM after a burst hit. That's all. It's a weapon for DPS Sucrose.

Honestly if you want my best "guess" im "predicting" it will give about 265 EM at level 90, which will increase by 120 for 6 seconds after doing a swirl reaction (im "assuming" because she is an on field swirl dps/support) it will most likely also increase by 96 for 9 seconds after your skill hits an opponent, and for the last part of the weapon just going off on a limb id say it will also increase by 32 for 30 seconds after your burst hits an opponent.

So I think Hoyo's plan is to use Chronicled Wishes for olde limited characters and then add 1 new standard banner character per year. As long as Chronicled Wishes actually come around for each of Mond and Liyue at least once per year I think this is actually pretty good, although I still wish the Chronicled Wish had longer duration and/or lower pity

I think it's too soon to say "she is trash", Mavuika sub-DPS potential was doomposted to the absolute ground and now, well. Dehya is also a very interesting situation, she was terrible on release day, but now I see her as a decent choice for kinich teams. We will have to see her final numbers + actual release because then we can know how to use her. And btw, love the design.

You are making a false equivalenve with Mavuika. The math showing that Mavuika was a busted off-fielder was always there. Just because people who didn't know better complained about her, doesn't mean TC's didn't know she was great. Mizuki is just objectively a trash on-fielder with horrible numbers and very limited amount of synergies she works with. She may get better teammates like Dehya, but her current state is dire.

Closest team I can think of to make full use of Mizuki is Yae, Furina, Sigewinne, Mizuki. I also dont expect it to be any better than using Sucrose or Kazuha in that same role.

One thing that wasn't mentioned in this video is that most of her constellations make her significantly better, unlike Dehya who needs to go all the way to c6 to be considered a good dps: •Her c1 makes swirl do 900% additional dmg every 3,5s to each enemy based on Mizuki em •Her c2 turns her into a mini Kazuha, but only when she's on field •Her c3 and c5 increase her skill and burst talent level by 3, obviously •Her c4 makes her burst heal and do damage at the same time and also reduces her er • And her c6 makes Swirls able to crit So if you want be a dedicated Mizuki main her cons are pretty valuable, but I wouldn't advise spending resources on her banner, since you can get her cons from the anniversary 5* selector, from the standard banner and from losing 50/50.

Its sad to say, but its like other Mavuika teams which have an anemo character in them(e.g. Chasca teams). Citlali, Mavuika, Bennett is such a strong core (especially with Mavuika as a main dps) that you would be better using either; Sucrose to replace the anemo character and give a EM buff to Mavuika and Citlali for their reactions, or Furina to replace the anemo character and focus on Mavuika's damage (because you already have a healer in Bennet, just swap him to Maidens for healing Furina damage). If I use Chasca now, its with other characters because my Mavuika team takes priority because it just does stupid damage. Edit: I just realised that even having Albado instead of her would be better in Mavuika teams because he gives an EM buff. No joke. The geo unit with no synergy has better utility.

From what I've seen of her she is indeed just less useful Sucrose. Her personal damage potential isn't that horrible with a couple constellations though. I wouldn't pull for her but if you end up losing 50/50 to her a couple of times she'll be at least 'alright'. She is basically in the same position that Dehya was in when she launched. She'll probably get a handful of use cases with time. Kit aside, her design is good and the animations are decent. Honestly the real kicker is releasing the patch after a much better 4* anemo catalyst EM scaling unit. Well at least my catalyst only account has someone other than Mona I can successfully lose 50/50s to.

When they said they were adding more characters to the standard banner I thought that meant they would add preexisting five stars that have bad kits/ low ownership or usage rates/have been massively powercrept (like Eula, Yoimiya, Cyno, etc). I thought that in tandem with the chronicled wish that it would be a good way to help relieve some of the issues with reruns while also allowing people to get some five stars that they liked but didn't feel were worth the pulls. Guess I should have known better than to think Hoyo would actually do something amazing like that.

She just makes no damn sense. If i want an on feild driver who can heal, i am going to play Kokomi who does more than enough healing to enable Furina and you are getting Hydro resonance. If you want an anemo healer, well like 90% of players have Jean already. A character being standard banner should not mean they need to be awful. Releasing Mizuki with this kit is basically anti hype and makes their promise of a free standard banner character every year feel kinda worthless.
