AJL is an annual song competition. Has been held since 1986. Probably the most prestigious music event in Malaysia. The next edition is coming up this February.

AJL stands for 'Anugerah Juara Lagu' (Song Champion Award) which consist of Professional Singers within Malaysia which represent the songs composed by composers... It is annual competition.. *FUN FACT: This is the song arrangement that you will get when the song is being composed by your own friend, lol.. Marsha (singer) & Stacy (Composer) were both graduated from a Malaysia's reality show more than 10 years ago & now they are in entertainment industry. Stacy is also a good singer & stage performer & now a composer together with her husband- Akim (who was also technically graduated from the same reality show). Akim songs has won a few times or at least got listed as finalists in AJL due to his style of music / song arrangements. Their songs are not mainstream.

That wasn't her best, but it's still epic.. why? Because she did it after she had covid.. and she is still recovering when the competition is on.. kudos to her.. fighting with coughing when she's on stage.. As Malaysia we know.. if she is 100% healthy on that day she can sing 10x better than this (without the struggle).. but overall, because after we knew what happened to her, that's why we respect her more as a singer as before this she is underrated.

FYI, AJL means Anugerah Juara Lagu or Song Championship Competition, it is an annual event organized by TV3 one of the major TV networks in Malaysia. There is a weekly chart program call Muzik-muzik whereby 30 top songs throughout the year will be elected and competed for 3 consecutive semifinals and only 12 songs will be selected for final. Singer only perform their selected songs but if she or he cannot make it, the song can be sung or replaced by someone else as this is a song competition. They will other subsidiaries title for the finale as best vokal and best performance as well. There is 3 major awards for best song, first runner up and 2nd runner up respectively. The finale is usually held early every year. For 2022 selections, the finale will be held in 2023. This Marsha's song Cinta won 2nd runner up and she won best performance, furthermore Aina Abdul best vokal. I hope the info will clarify what AJL is all about.
