In my opinion, Fall out boys over all sound peaked during infinity on high, but as for vocals and lyrics, folie a deux takes the cake
@ScsigsGaming9 жыл бұрын
+Martha Tedla Well, it's mostly that they went for a more simplified sound with Folie A Deux & that they went almost completely pop afterwards. It's weird. Before, it was mostly relationship songs when it was the punk stuff, now it's just top of the world songs with the pop stuff. I'd appreciate them going back to a more Infinity on High approach with any stuff they'd write in the future because that album was damn good & impressive. Not to mention the most awesome of lampshades, with the song 'Thnks Fr Th Mmrs.'
@onlythetruthmatters45298 жыл бұрын
+Martha Tedla For me they never got back together, I hate their new stuff, they're like a different band.
@lunarfox748 жыл бұрын
+OnlyThe TruthMatters I just got into Fall out Boy and I already prefer their old stuff XD
@Scsigs8 жыл бұрын
+OnlyThe TruthMatters Well, sorry you feel that way. They're old stuff is superior to their newer stuff, no argument, but I wouldn't immediately discount all of it. Their new stuff is some of the best Pop music right now, considering most modern Pop music is shit right now, that's not saying much, but it's still good.
@lunarfox748 жыл бұрын
Scsigs Nah I love a lot of their new songs :) It's just that I prefer their old ones, but their new ones aren't bad :) And I agree, most pop stuff these days is crap, but theirs is better.

I remember reading somewhere that this song is kind of hinting at a long time ago (maybe early 90s) Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp were dating for years and Johnny was so committed that he went and got a tattoo on his arm that said “Winona Forever”. She ended up breaking his heart and leaving him in the end....so I think that is what he is referencing in this song. How a girl possibly betrayed him and broke his heart after knowing that she was the one

Life's just a pay stub on death Only less diligent And when the two collide It's no coincidence The lights are on and everybody's home The only thing suicidal here is the door We had a good run Even I have to admit Life's just a pay stub on death Only less diligent Hell or Glory I don't want anything in between Then came a baby boy with long eyelashes Daddy said, "you gotta show the world the thunder!" (Oh) the thunder, (Oh) the thunder, (Oh) the thunder, (Oh) We didn't come to compete This is a demonstration Even the young ones become irrelevant They always bring up how you changed (Oh, oh) Never the same person when I go to sleep As when I wake up, as when I wake up Hell or Glory I don't want anything in between Then came a baby boy with long eyelashes Daddy said, "you gotta show the world the thunder!" (Oh) the thunder, (Oh) the thunder, (Oh) the thunder, (Oh) Hell or Glory I don't want anything in between Then came a baby boy with long eyelashes Daddy said, "you gotta show the world the thunder!" (Oh) the thunder, (Oh) the thunder, (Oh) the thunder, (Oh) He said "Bring the thunder!" The thunder (Oh) the thunder, Whoa

@TKDCats312 ...ok you apparently don't know where they came from...they were a punk band from the start...this new sound of theirs is the product of them slowly incoporating more r&b and blues into their music due to patricks love of that style of music...they did this slowly and on purpose from one album to the next to make it so they didn't rapidly alienate their audience

I don't see how people think it's bad that they aren't spinning around and messing up notes while doing so. The fact that they're more stationary doesn't mean they have no energy, they're all still moving with it, just not as violently as they used to. I prefer it this way, it makes it so they actually reproduce the music (in this case) better than it was on the album.
@Fox93i12 жыл бұрын
why?! tell me why i couldn't see them live... i just started listening to them seriously only after their break-up...
