The irony with the “only women who eat unhealthily get periods” comment is that you can stop menstruating if you’re ill. Usually only for long term, more serious illnesses but thats a thing. Also it can be affected by stress so if you have a period of intense stress, you can sometimes throw off your cycle.

About the sanitary pad size thing: I once ran into a similar situation with my roommate. I'm a transman who, unfortunately, had to deal with that stuff back then, and this particular roommate was the only one who knew in our unit. So, when his girlfriend unexpectedly got her period without any supplies on hand and he came to me asking if I could help her out, it was no big deal. "What size?" I asked. This man thought for a moment, looked me up and down, and shrugged. "Well, she's about your size. So, small?" Oh, honey, NO. I somehow held it together long enough to tell him that isn't quite right and eventually sent him off with a pad, but you better bet I was giggling my butt off that entire night. Fun Fact: "Inverted" was a term invented by sexologists before the word "homosexual" was in common use. The theory of "inversion" was basically that the person's "physical, emotional, or psychological" state or their "gender" is "inverted" compared to their heterosexual counterparts. Gay men had the mind of a woman and gay women had the mind of a man. This term was also applied to individuals who desired to live or dress as the opposite gender. For a while before the 1950s, "inverted" was generally accepted amongst the historical queer community as a way to describe their queerness, but it was also used by the surrounding prejudicial society to single out those individuals. The word largely went out of use by the queer community when the word "homosexual(ity)" was invented, but it would not be unlikely that those born just before or during the 50s would've heard this term used at some point. Still surprising tho that the person who tweeted about the "inverted" RAF officer would use it in the year of our lord 2022! Source: 'A Queer History of the United States' by Michael Bronski

So for some context on what the heck that woman was going on about, some TERFs have recently devolved into full on conspiracy theorists who believe that trans people are secretly taking over society, and have taken to calling these "secret trans agents" or whatever you wanna call them "inverted". So these posts have cropped up recently on social media, coming from groups of TERFs who are trying to figure out whether or not people are secretly trans, based on some phrenology pseudoscience about like shoulder to hip ratios and stuff, and it's gotten to the point where a few of them are 100% convinced that everybody around them is secretly trans - like on the level of that disorder that makes somebody believe all their friends and family have been replaced with impostors - and some of these groups have even begun cannibalizing themselves, believing that their own members are secretly trans.

@sarahvunkannon73362 жыл бұрын
@@SevCaswell From what I understand, it is hormones, but not the mother's obviously. Hormones probably can't cross the placental barrier. A fetus with the SRY gene, normally found on the Y chromosome but sometimes not, develops as all fetuses do for a while. Then a few weeks in, I don't recall exactly how many (8 perhaps?), the SRY gene becomes active and starts producing proteins that trigger the body to produce a flood of androgens. It's the androgens that cause the physical features of the fetus to masculinize. The fetus' own hormones control masculinization, and they are triggered by a certain gene. Fun fact: This happens very early on, before the brain has developed its complex structure. There is a second hormonal burst later in development that influences how the brain develops. The body and brain do not receive the same gendering influence at the same time.

Afaik it's about gas buildup in the abdomen (from the rotting process) pushing out everything that can be pushed out of the body (i.e. anything that has holes to come out of). Another example of this phenomenon: coffin birth. Women who died while pregnant are sometimes found with the baby between their legs, having technically "given birth" while already dead.

15:37 The "investigation" they're doing is some sort of weird conspiracy thing where these people think that, for some reason, everyone is secretly trans. They "analyze" "lines" on every photo they can find, and somehow, SOMEHOW, every single celebrity/figure/person they don't already know and like (because they never "test" them) is magically trans. And rather than be like, "Huh, that's pretty weird, maybe my methods are flawed and I should try making sure they work", they jump on the incredibly weird conclusion that nearly 100% of the world is secretly living as the opposite gender for... nefarious? purposes???
@noobulon43342 жыл бұрын
Ive seen this happen with random wemen on youtube, my favorite case of which was related to some metal chick and instead of deleting it or letting it get buried, they pinned it for visibility and the dude had maybe a dozen likes and over 200 comments roasting him saying stuff like "have you ever seen a woman?" And "I'd still smash"
@searchingfororion2 жыл бұрын
Before I got tired of Facebook and left it to stagnate (shortly after the capital incident in D.C) people were getting so paranoid and toxic that *at least* once a day I would get harassing messages from individuals who were certain I was trans and also that it was obvious I wasn't (and never would be) a **select random binary gender**. I reported them because their behavior was abhorrent, but it was so ridiculous. I would get "You're obviously a man, you'll never be a woman" at the same time some other idiot would send, "Stop trying to be a man, no matter what you do you'll still be a weak little girl." 🙄 It was *insane* there was *no* androgyny to my public photos and literally nothing indicating a non-cis identity. The climate at the time was just so toxic and persecutory that if you didn't look like Karen and/or publicly proclaim allegiance to MAGA then you must be one of *those* (btw, thanks Joanne for really getting the fires stoked toward an already disenfranchised group and continuing to propagate that irrational fear, persecution, and misinformation that leads to acts of self harm or outside violence - *that* helped 🧐). But the irony of being accused of being a trans man that would never pass as a man and being accused of being a trans woman they would never pass a woman simultaneously was *not* lost on me. These people didn't even know what they *thought* they saw, they were simply trying to say the most hurtful thing possible. (Instead it just proved how they didn't have half a clue about what they "felt so strongly" about).

@@oliver-the-ghost3821 That is really very disturbing on many levels. I'm sorry you had to go through that (and if you are still). Heaven forbid people actually communicate with their offspring and create an environment where they feel safe to discuss and share things with one another. 🙄 It *is* actually possible and you don't need conspiratorial snips to leave you guessing about your child - they inform you on every step of the way. Doesn't that sound easier?!? But then again, it takes *real* effort and time - probably best to rely on pseudoscience if that's beneath you as a parent.

Quick tip: “Wrote” is “Writes”. “Wrote” is in the past, but “Writes” means that you still do it. You also don’t need to add the extra “To”, “Helping me help” is correct! And more than one person (“Person”) is “People” (with some exceptions). Hope that this helped a bit. Also, your English is surprisingly good for someone who is accustomed to French, which is a language with incredibly different grammatical rules than English. Keep up the good work!

fun animal fact - kiwis: kiwis are native to New Zealand and are shaped like a comma. They are a flightless bird that comes in various sizes from "hehe cute" to "was that a badger?!". The feathers are more closely related to fur than to feathers as they continue to evolve into their ground-dwelling ways. The egg is famously the biggest egg in terms of egg-bird ratios, allowing the hatchling to be mature when emerging, but squishing mum's organs in gestation. They have powerful kicks and once they know they can, will kill predators invading their burrows... sadly many do not survive to learn this lesson leaving them on the endangered species list across all varieties. The reason behind the "shortest beak" matter that redefined how beaks were measured comes from it having nostrils at the tip of its beak, as opposed to the base. It uses these to hunt at night. The best way to detect a kiwi is to listen for the soft snuffling and intermittent snort as it removes soil from its nose. They require two legs to mate properly. In wellington zoo they have an ambassador animal called "Tahi" (Te Reo Maori for "One") due to him getting caught in a horrible trap known as a "gin trap" in NZ, though likely a "bear" or "wolf trap" outside of the country. The leg was unable to be saved but he was. When he was healed they attempted to fit him with a prosthetic leg so he would continue helping with the population, but Tahi refused all fake legs and thus is a zoo ambassador explaining the value and versatility of a kiwi, and also showing off the damage humans can do... all while he does an adorable and rapid hop around his enclosure.
