pink shirt lady is an idiot, and shouldn't be anywhere near a boat. It doesn't take a lot of brain cells to understand that boats drift when you power down, and to control it you need to go slow.. If a 8 year old child understands this without guidance, she should too.

I've been boating all my long 50 years on this earth and even I would feel nervous at these ramps you film. All those people watching and filming, coupled with boaters that obviously need lessons would have me looking for a new ramp. I've had a few onlookers at the ramps in Tarpon Springs (FL) where I take my smaller boat, and its no big deal most of the time, but I don't think people realize how nervous a camera makes people feel. At these ramps knowing that I will def make utube if I make a single mistake would have me rethinking where I put in at. We all make mistakes but I don't think I could stomach being on utube for life. I'd be supremely embarrassed. At least if its not on camera, most people will forget me by the next day.
@FoulWeatherFriend3857 ай бұрын
Sitting there and waiting to record people’s mistakes so that you can profit from them is predatory. The biggest problem is that we don’t know why each of these people make the mistakes they make. The cameraman inserts his own narrative into the videos and we’re supposed to just take that at face value. For all we know, it could have been blue boat captain’s first day on the water & that boat was passed down to him by a family member or something. But now, he’s been blasted on KZbin and the owner of this channel will make money at his detriment. The better way to do this would be to help as many of these people as possible. There’s no reason you can’t give that guy some advice as you’re hovering over him waiting for him to slip up.
@stanburge29247 ай бұрын
It’s silly to take these measures mistakes to seriously. I’ve had my share of loading problems. I wish I had videos to study and learn from my mistakes when just learning. Everyone makes mistakes and I wish they could laugh at them rather than being hostile. My 18 yo took his GF out once alone. When loading he used the trolling motor and bent the shaft. I wasn’t mad he learned his mistake. I had it fixed and never thought about it again. My boats were 18ft so not big but when the wind blew it was hard. Let’s laugh at ourselves and educate ourselves how to get better.

Man, it sure feels good when you can pull in and out with no issues. My launch has 2 spots, a gravel for smaller boats and the concrete beside it. So last weekend I went to launch a jet ski on the small ramp as a boat was coming out on trailer at the concrete ramp. As soon as I was lined up, another boat took my spot looking to come out. As the boat on the concrete pulled away I snuck right in the concrete ramp, launch the ski, and my son took off. No resetting, just a sneaky maneuver that left some folks bewildered.

I drove 900 miles to stand on those docks Sunday 8:00am. There was a bum laying on the bench. I gave him $40. 20 for him and he said he'd give you the other 20, did you get it? 1st boat in, parked on the ramp, unloaded a bunch of crap, put the boat in, then loaded the crap onto the boat. 2nd boat launched like a pro, pulled out a minute later, bilge pumps humming, forgot the plug, and looked thru the boat and truck to finally find one. Buc-ee's could learn a thing or 2 from the bathrooms there, beyond description. And I saw a sign by the ramp "I'll pay you $5 to fall in the water, $10 to forget your drainplug -CCC". Not sure what to make of that. I was visiting family in Melbourne.
