What's next? Head Banger Legend 1997 for more epic crowd reactions and just remember, the song ain't over until the skinny girl bangs the gong. In Road of Resistance Su Metal was 17 years old and parted a 20,000 crowd like Moses and the Red Sea. Know any other 17 year old girls who can do that? Herman Li and Sam Totman from Dragon Force co-wrote the song and performed on the CD version. Baby Metal have joined them on stage to perform this song at their concerts. I am VERY looking forward to your sister Amy doing some Baby Metal reacts.

@@nznegativeions Seriously you're applying corporate business practices to a culture on which I'm guessing you've done little to no research. I can't pretend to know anyone's true intentions, but by everything I've read about this band, Kobametal (the producer/concept originator) has the utmost passion for metal music and respect for the girls/band. You can shit on that idea all you want, but if you're doing it based on a whim and without anything to back up your reasoning, you're just adding to the ignorant cynicism that most people supply to the internet. I'm not even trying to insult you, I get why you'd think the way you are. I even thought that way before. But after learning a lot more about the band I see just how much the guy who created this cares for the project and everyone involved.

The music was arranged/writen by Herman Li & Sam Totman from Dragonforce. When they wrote it they thought they'd never have to play it so made it really hard to play, then in later in 2015 Babymetal picked up an award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards and the Kami band had to go home, so they asked Dragonforce to be the backing band and they played Road of Resistance. They also played as guests with Dragonforce for one song at Download in 2015.

This is anthem exactly. In lyrics, there are few songs in babymetal with using the word "bokurano"; in english "our" which is the first person plural(or singular). Other songs are the one and tales of the destinies. That's all. Bokurano resistance means our resistance. This song is truly anthem.

"Ijime, Dame, Zettai" @ Sonisphere 2014. It was arguably the most important performance of their career. Instead of performing in front of a few thousand dedicated BM fans on a side stage they were thrown onto the main stage last minute to perform in front of tens of thousands of hardcore heavy metal fans that had never even heard of them in the birthplace of heavy metal. By the end of their set, finishing with "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", they had won the hearts of those in attendence. I believe that it was that very performance that catapuled them into metal stardom and solidified them as a true metal act.

Slipknot, System of a down, Disturbed, Static X to name a few as well as some BIG names I never thought I would ever see, Pantera, Judas Priest, Slayer, Manson, Korn, Primus, Zombie, some of the best times in my life without a doubt

This version of this song with the extended wowow sing-along section in the middle was the third or fourth encore at the end of an hour and a half long concert. Every song has unique choreography. And after hour and a half of singing, dancing, and running around that huge arena stage with the catwalk bridge, the girls don't skip a beat, don't miss a step, all the way to the final "See You!". The amount of training, planning, and stamina their performance must require is beyond my comprehension. Always more BabyMetal forever! :)

They were originally scheduled for a smaller side stage and were upgraded to the main stage at the last minute, where Anthrax and Iron Maiden were to headline. So needless to say, no one really knew who they were except for a handful of Japanese and western fans that followed them there. By the end of the set they had won over the crowd and had them shouting for more. Check it out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKCQkJaYm8mlj6c

Another excellent, thoughtful and well considered reaction and analysis. You are right, this song is more about the feeling behind it, the show, the performance and getting the audience involved. The song itself obviously isn't bad, but it is nowhere near their best or most memorable. Next I would have to go with 'Headbanger' from Legend 1997 or 'Megitsune' from the Budokan live (Red Night or Black Night - both were great). If you want more shock factor, especially if your sister is with you, 'Iine' (not Line, the first letter is a capital i). For a Su-metal solo plus showing off the Kami Band 'Rondo of Nightmare' with the Mischiefs of the Metal Gods intro.

You are correct about hearing a Dragonforce influence in this song. That's what the Dragonforce mention refers to: Herman Li and Sam Totman from Dragonforce collaborated with BABYMETAL for this song, writing the guitar arrangements for it. It is, therefore, a typical fast and technical Power Metal song. If that's not your thing, then I can understand that it's "a bit much" for you. And, of course, your honest opinion is appreciated. You're also correct that, apart from the song, the performance as a whole and from the girls especially, commanding a crowd like that - at ages 17 and 15 then - is a big reason why fans recommend this particular video. I'd love to see your sister react to BABYMETAL and I'm looking forward to your next BABYMETAL reaction video! Cheers & rock on!
