A common thread, in so many "Am I wrong" stories, is when blood sticks up for blood who is totally wrong. It's just easier for them to do that, than admit that THEY were wrong by extension. Oh, no, no no, we can't have THAT! And the siblings missing out on Orlando are barking up the wrong tree. They need to blame the car thief, who caused the consequences, not the victim who enacted them. When you're right, you're right. A majority saying that you're wrong means nothing.
@cgamejewels Жыл бұрын
They are the reason we have the saying' "the apples don't fall far from the tree". Crappy daughter became a crappy parent just like her crappy parents. I hope OP gets out of that house as soon as possible. She should go live with her grandparents.
@markcollins2666 Жыл бұрын
@@cgamejewels, I agree. And that's the the first thing I thought, when I saw that OP was 17, was "I hope she has an exit plan!" And what is wrong with the father!?! I myself have a daughter, and as soon as she's old enough to buy her first bras, she can have any and all the locks she wants! Anything less, is asking for trouble!

Right? And the sister should go to jail for it. If the damage is more than $1,000 that’s a felony.
@markcollins2666 Жыл бұрын
@@rebeccashores2306, agreed. Grand theft auto, for sure. But the parents browbeat the girl into settling out of court, and not filing a police report. If she had, insurance would have covered everything, and everyone would have gotten to go to Orlando. And how much do you want to bet that the parents learned their lesson, and got the poor girl locks? I'm betting, no lessons learned here. I just hope that tis girl has an exit plan.

I'm currently pregnant with my second child and I have never been this rude and entitled. Just because you're pregnant it does not give you the right to behave any way you want and disregard everyone else. I've never treated my husband like that and wouldn't even think of it. Too many pregnant women use pregnancy as an excuse to do whatever they want.
@cassieisacatyourmom256411 ай бұрын
she didn’t eat all of it? she left half for him?? he just didn’t want what she put on it. and pregnancy is hard on most women so aside from this one measly story you should hold your tongue
@gaxalee7392 Жыл бұрын
Being pregnant, stressed, and hungry is an excuse to be cranky, ask(not demand) for some snacks/food, and refuse to share your food; it’s not an excuse to be demanding, rude, or steal all of someone’s meals. Don’t use the word “some” if you mean “all”. The fact that she immediately puts a collection of things that made the meal inedible to Op, got so pissed that she just left, and tattled on him to his mom just makes me think that she was intentionally misleading with her phrasing. I think she asked that way because she knew he’d say no about her taking all of it and figured that if she “ruined” the food quick enough then he’d just shrug it off. Idk, this just doesn’t sit right with me, but maybe I’m overthinking.

1. NTA. The sister is very irresponsible for OP's car and the parents enabling it. Also the parents sounded like they do not have a good/great job when it comes to parenting. OP made an update that she got a deadbolt lock on her door, and was given the key by her mom (well finally). Btw, the sister needs to be charged with auto grand theft. 2. NTA. She was told to eat some, but ate all of it. I know she is pregnant, but shouldn't have to be selfish. 3. NTA. The niece did pulled a stunt. 4. NTA. The wife's kids with another husband are not OP's responsibilities.

First story: OP should have called the police anyway. The parents are still crappy parents and even crappier grandparents. Bad parents are NOT going to become good parents overnight. Apples don't fall far from the tree. OP needs to leave that house ASAP. Second story: gf is feeling entitled because she is pregnant. She is also immature. She really told his mom on him. He should break up with her. Third story: Why do family run to the defense of the people in the wrong. I wouldn't have Kelly or her supporters back at my house after that. Fourth story: OP should have kept his mouth closed. the mom has six kids. Two with ex and four with new hubby including the two stepkids. Why did the mom think she needed to tell new hubby about the money ex-hubby saved for HIS kids? Why do mom and new hubby feel their kids should have some of that money? The entitlement of some people. ex-wife and new hubby should have been saving money instead or reproducing.
@louisejohnson6057 Жыл бұрын
If my cousin could save money as a single parent receiving no outside support, then those dunder-head parents can save up for their own children's future. Expecting your ex to pay support for a child that isn't theirs, that's beyond inappropriate, it's F-ing crazy.
@samgnz3n530 Жыл бұрын
the Kelly and Laura one oh the extended family is enabling Kelly's behavior like they could be mad at the mom if the two were both teens but this was 26 year old accusing a 17 year old of thief and tattling on it to others then not offering an apology to either the mom or Laura when she was wrong so yeah she needed consequences for her actions.
@Kayenne54 Жыл бұрын
Not just tattling, but slander and character assassination. OP should have insisted on as public an apology as Kelly made the whole issue. In other words, gather family together and get Kelly to apologize to the daughter, in front of everyone. Properly. Why don't people make these slanderers publicly apologize?

Wow so her family is saying she's an ass because her sister stole her car and she wanted to file a police report because she wouldn't pay? Wow this whole "blood sticks with blood" is totally toxic because they don't give a shit when one was wronged, it's the one who's been done wrong that is the bad guy in the eyes of the family, a common trend I've noticed about these stories. Makes me open my eyes to how much victim blaming is in the world

Me personally, I would file charges got insurance to pay out got emancipated sue the parents for an intentional infliction of emotional duress and cut ties. First story: parents and sister are wrong. Poster should have been allowed to put a lock on the door. Insurance will not pay for repairs or replacement unless they have a police report. Second story: welcome to pregnancy. Women eat a lot and sometimes strange things when they’re pregnant. On the other hand, she did ask for “some” not all. Third story: Kelly is wrong. She had no proof that Laura stole but she told everyone far and wide that her teenage cousin stole from her and that her aunt and uncle were lying to protect their daughter. Fourth story: Remarriage and money is a bad combination. Poster is not wrong. He is taking care of his own children, the ex-wife’s husband needs to take care of his own.

I think the second problem was an ego thing for the guy. He dated a woman knowing that she was going to surrogate for somebody else but started retrieving when the time came. Didn't get her any food for her AND her cravings but only got some for himself. It's like he's suddenly upset that she's surrogating and is suddenly not supporting her or is considerate of her either. And then gets upset that she eats the ONLY food there that's decent and all of it at that like it's unheard of of girlfriends/boyfriends/siblings and such to ask for some and eat all. Then ask her to pay him back or DRIVE SOMEWHERE to get him some? Like is he trying to get back at her for something he knew before he dated her for?
@o.m9514 Жыл бұрын
He wasn't supportive in the slightest and was like the child isn't even mine, so I get he couldn't keep up what he agreed to. They're still dating and the surrogacy shouldn't change his attitude towards her so why is he not supporting her and only thinking of himself? Almost making her seem like she cheated and is still mooching off him? The mother's right.
@destineallen9104 Жыл бұрын
Neither she nor the mother is right. They don't even live together. He has no reason to support her cravings, especially if he doesn't know when she would come over. People like you are the ones that enable these selfish and entitled people.

DON’T TAKE FOOD AWAY FROM PEOPLE. Dear Lord. I take my own food with me everywhere because of my allergies and preferences. It’s not that hard. “Cravings” and pregnancy don’t give one a pass to be an ass. It’s so unfair and gross to malign and accuse someone when you aren’t 100% on their guilt. Yuck. That stepdad has got some nerve to insist the father pay for the stepdad’s kids. Slimy, beta move, dude.

op in the first story is NOT in the wrong at all. the older sibling was the one who stole op's car and totaled it and then had the nerve to leave trash in it on top of all of that. further more, the parents should've taken op's side and scolded their older child for stealing op's car, wrecking it and leaving their own trash in it. smh

Idk mann but the OP (the boyfriend) it's a little too harsh. It's just food if he could have asked him nicely that babe if you're gonna eat can you bring me more later. At the end of the day it shows he is ready give her something without making a bug deal about it. I don't think everyone understands pregnancy craving. And than he rants on her soo much that she leaves without eating it. I am sorry but I don't think that's a very nice thing to do. This also shows he is gonna be petty about food in their relationship later on.
