A high-value man is emotionally mature, he communicates honestly and openly with you and expects the same from you. He does not lie, cheat, or betray you. I bet a lot of the women looking for a HVM think it’s going to fix their low self esteem. Somehow they will absorb the efforts of his work and feel whole. You can’t fix what’s broken on the inside until you address it. Parasiting off a guy is a temporary emotional fix for lazy women

A HVM lives his life as such regardless of how he may or may not be viewed by other women. There will always be men better looking with more money, for instance. But that is irrelevant to YOU and your standards and boundaries. You don’t need to spin plates (aka chase multiple women and waste excessive time on them) to be your own successful version of yourself. Ignoring women with confidence is the easiest way to be attractive to many of them. Be your own best version of yourself and opportunities with women will find you eventually, even if you happen to live in a desert with few prospects. A red pilled man isn’t fixated on women and dating. He may have seasons with lots of dating or none at all, but he’s resolute and strong within himself, and that’s what he naturally projects outwardly to other men and women.

Been single and doing the dating thing for 4 years after a 17 year marriage. Have had women that I could tell were really into me end things suddenly for no apparent reason. Recognise now that at least a couple of them were selecting themselves out because they knew they couldn’t live up to the basic accountability standards I would expect of them. Or because they knew I’d get bored with them after a few months (one actually said this). At the time I tried to reassure her (what else could one do) but looking back I can see she was probably right. I think some women are big fish in small ponds and are not aware that the top of one social ladder is the bottom of the next one….until they find themselves it and panic. Blow to the ego i think.

When getting to know a girl, if she is the type of girl who has done the all girls vacations in Vegas or Cancun or keeps tons of men "friends" then this is probably not the type of girl you really want to get involved with as she already has proclivities for the type of behaviour that means if she wants to be involved with you she will have to give something she likes doing and to "control herself" and that will likely take more control than she has and it will lead to grief.

I have to repeat myself in order for women to get it so what you say is totally true. When they try to fix themselves to your standards it’s only temporary to trap you. Always believe a woman who they are before you have to set boundaries. If they mostly meet your standards before the boundaries are set that’s who they really are and will and can handle your boundaries.

She either is accountable from the start to what you deem acceptable, or she isn’t. Hissy-fits only happen when she wasn’t willing to be that level of accountable from the get-go, or when she doesn’t truly view you as a high value man. I think it should also be said that the definition of high value man varies from woman to woman. I was with a woman for 2 half years. She just recently broke it off coz she wanted to have a home together in the future and wanted me to visit more. I hate long distance driving so always refused as I knew I couldn't keep it up. She lives 2 hours away and has a daughter. She would come down cook clean She was great. I was video calling once or twice per day after 4 months being together. She broke it off by saying I love you so much but I'm tired about the driving and want more. I just couldn't see a future with her living together giving up my flat as I enjoy my alone time. She was pulling away at the end coz I didn't want it to progress. I'm not sure if it was the video calls that did it as we both loved seeing eachother and it lasted 2 years. Great girl just heartbroken that she demanded more after she stated in the beginning she enjoyed the drive and the cooking. I just enjoyed going abroad making memories together and having space away from eachother. Feel so lost now.

Funny, met a younger girl last night at a party-she's 25, moderately attractive. She's a perpetual student, currently in law school because her grandma wanted her to but doesn't want to practice, nannies for money right now. She kept going on about how she just wants to find a rich husband, assumedly to pay off any student debt as well. Of course he can't be too old, never mind most wealthy men are older. It was painful to listen to her talk-nothing of interest there. I feel for these younger guys now and glad I had my fun-I'm 46 now and it was easier back then, no dating apps, ettc. Half of America believes that the S&P 500 value is down for the year. This is possible because that half of America has no pressing need to be accountable to reality. This problem is not confined to just women. Focus on bettering yourself, only let people who hold themselves accountable to themselves in your life, and you’ll keep the wrong women out as well as the wrong men. Let people who live in self-delusion have their own problems.

The beauty of being high value is he never has to choose. If he has the balls to select a woman in the West, he gets to set the terms and if she doesn’t like it, she can go find another man.

The problem with setting boundaries is that many women will comply, but their hearts aren't in it. Their old habits are still there, and will resurface long term. The 'you teach people how to treat you' advice is overly simplistic.

going thru a break up and I am a little upset, but I do consider myself high value and I have high standards, I don't have many cars or millions of dollars, but I know skilled trades and im also an architect.. i generate good money, I also have properties here and in Mexico that are worth a lot, so if a woman disrespects me, she will get a taste of her own medicine...

I think some people might say it differently but I think most would say: No way in hell. If a woman really loves you and wants you, she should really not need any other man's attention. Period. And don't think that just because you know the other guy, you are safe. Even though he might not betray you, the mere fact that she has eyes for another dude, should tell you all you need to know.

HVM: Supply vs. demand. If demand exceeds supply, the supplier will get capricious. Accountability: You hold women accountable by your reactive actions. Talk leads to nothing.

6:30 min mark.....yes. I've made the mistake of reasoning and explaining to partners until I was exhausted and explained it repeatedly. It just never works. Rich is totally right - draw your line in the sand, state your case and then step back. If the woman leaves or crosses the line, so be it. Move on.

Some women are big fish in small ponds and are not aware that the top of one social ladder is the bottom of the next one….until they are exposed to it. It’s like yeah, you’re not in the minor leagues anymore darls, the rules are different. Some will step up, most won’t.

She needs to see more "value" in a man, than merely SMV. There's a world of intrinsic value beneath the iceberg tip of "perceived value". Perception is limited, knowing from discovery is limitless. Her only "hard-wiring short-sightedness", if she doesn't go digging deeper, is ""her attraction purely to the extrinsic qualities"". If she can't/won't go digging, it won't last, and will be solely based on fantasy, not reality - hence split.

I've watched a few of your man-to-man commentaries and while I respect your upfront spreadsheet bottom-line opinions, imho, the "high value" you've totally ignored, thus you're part of the problem and not the solution, is that the highest quality man is actually the man who has sacrificed all the bullet-points you've championed, i.e., net worth, home ownership, career, a McClaren, etc., and rather taken "the road less traveled" to "do the right thing", to "speak Truth to power", to be a change-agent, to "be the change you wish to see", and take the high road of what you may consider "tilting at windmills", to pursue the so-called intangibles, the invisible moral, ethical, spiritual values that have enabled and empowered you to be a free man and to prosper. You're standing on the invisible shoulders of spiritual giants you avoid championing. As a pastor once said to me, a woman should be happy to live with you in a 55 gallon drum if she truly loves you. "It's" about L-O-V-E, not money. So, imho, Change Your Paradigm.

I don't think Rich ever talks about the real problem even if we do the work and get to the high-value man status the women nowadays at that level aren't even worth getting they're more promiscuous they're more argumentative they're just not worth it anymore I just don't see the point to do the work anymore other than do it for yourself because the women that you get even at that level are just not worth it

These are weird times. Women now have many more options than they used to not so long ago, they can make enough money so they can support themselves, perhaps they need some guy to stick around for couple years when she has children, but this guy doesn't necessary need to be classical Beta male. Many men subscribe to this Alpha male stuff, and it is definitely better than Beta male, but in my opinion it is not the solution either. We men need to realize and accept that women in general no longer need us for long term relationships. Especially not good looking women. You can be high value man, alpha man or whatever man, but the reality is that after a while you will just become boring man for any decent looking female that has many other options. So I don't agree with this accountability stuff. Expecting accountability is like expecting women to like you just because you make cool videos while driving cool car. It works for some time, but then the coolness fades off, and there are simply bunch of other cool guys who do other cool things. The smartest thing men can do is to work on becoming high value man, but at the same time give up desires for monogamy, long term relationships, or some accountability. If she wants to go, let her go. I also don't agree with the High Value man definition. Many times it is about perceived value, not about high value per se. You can even be poor, have small social circle, you don't have to have top job, and you can still be perceived as high value man.
